Rudy Sarzo... not only a fantastic player but also has one of the best resumes a bassist could ever have. Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Dio, Blue Öyster Cult, Yngwie Malmsteen, and he’s currently in The Guess Who.

Love your sense of humor

Nice List....I would add Michael Anthony. Its hard to get noticed when your guitarist is EVH but MA was always solid and his vocal harmonies where a huge part of the VH sound.

Bassists in general are underrated

I feel that Mudvayne's bassist is very underrated. He was one of the most unique bassists in Nü Metal, adding prog and Mathcore elements in his bass playing and nobody remembers that.

🔊🎼Mel Schacher bassist for
Grand Funk Railroad🎶🔊!!
Apon hearing "Into The Sun"
cranking from my sister hippie beaded bedroom in 1970 at full volume🔊🎼 I
knew I wanted to learn bass!
Always had those iconic"FUZZED" bass notes
from the song;"People Let's
Stop The War" in my brain.
And last "I Come Tumblin" that
🔊 Bombastic bass solo forever etched into my mind🎵🎶🎸.
You could stop Mark, Don, and Mel, except for themselves🥁🎸🎶🔊!!

Steve DiGiorgio is very underrated. Definitely one of the best bassists in thrash metal, with a hybrid style of death metal, prog metal, math rock, and speed metal. Played with Death, Iced Earth, Testament, Obituary and many others. I saw him live with Testament once and you physically feel his basslines. No joke. He always plays clean, yet finds a way to give it a nice growl. Very awesome guy.

What a fantastic list especially with Graham Maby and Bruce Thomas In there. Graham’s funky solo on Joe Jackson’s “You Can’t Get What You Want’ just set up the guitar solo perfectly and Bruces bass lines but especially on ‘Accidents Will Happen’ were as every bit as musical as Maccas!

Great list im pry gonna get shit for this one but how about the bass player from DEVO those were some catchy bass riffs back in the 80s.

Rick Anderson of the Tubes passed away two years but he provided great bass counterpoint in The Tubes complex music
