finally someone who could actually understand what the lyrics are literally telling you, it is amazing how many reactors are completely clueless as to the story being told to them.

You listened to the music.
You listened to the words.
You paid attention to what was going on in the video.
5 stars.

The significance of that circus part is to show that he feels like a freak in a sideshow. Back in the day, one of the main attractions of any circus were the "freaks" in sideshow alley. The world's strongest man, a bearded lady, a fat lady, a pinhead Chinaman, a person with multiple piercings, sword swallowers, fire eaters, etc

Best reaction I've ever seen to this video. Hands down.

I suffered a traumatic brain injury when I was in the Marine Corps and before I knew what had happened this video ran through my head. I didn't know where I had seen this, but the line, "I can't read anything, can't tell if this is true or a dream," ran through my head. Music is very powerful. My mom said she had music playing in the hospital for me. She didn't allow any crying or anything like that when I was in the hospital.

that head ticks was Morse code

He wasn't bobbing to the music. He was communicating in morse code!

The circus part is a dream and it plays of the Sideshow Carnivals with freak shows that would have put him on display at an attraction in the early 20th century

The video is scenes from the movie ""Johnny got his gun" and the song is based on that movie.

whenever he’s nodding his head it’s morse code for SOS and the reason why it matches the song is because that riff also matches the morse code for SOS

@donniephillips7145 1 year ago

The song is about a soldier, sailor, marine, whomever who has been blown up and would rather die than live like that.

@DarkAngel1985Mike 1 year ago

The book and movie that inspired the song were anti war and based on true stories to show the brutality of modern war and modern technology that keeps people alive even when it’s not for the best, the soldier eventually starts tapping his in Morse code to say he wants to die because living like that is hell
