In my nursing school for 1st day of clinicals we had computer training on how to chart and how to practice scanning meds, our second day in the hospital we were assigned our nurse and our patient, we were expected to do our VS, Head to Toe, & do our full charting. ... I felt and still feel like a fish out of water or one of those baby birds that get thrown from the nest expected to fly lol

I’m starting Clinicals in a week for my ABSN program, I’ve been a CNA for almost 3 years and not one bit nervous about Clinicals! I’m extremely comfortable in a hospital/SNF setting

Seems like I made the right decision taking a CNA class I'll already know changing bed patients safety, feeding, ambulation ect and my school likes to choose people who have experience in the field first 🙌

This reminded me of what I learned in my MA program, but more in-depth (vitals, teachings, introducing myself, measuring dosages, etc) I’m glad you explained this because it confirmed that I do want to continue with going to nursing school ☺️

Love how in depth this video is! I wish I had this my first semester to help ease some of my nerves, but also being thrown into Nursing school and clinical full force like I was helped me learn a lot. I did see that you didn’t mention anything about pre/post conferences for clinical days though. Post conference had me on edge quite a bit as my clinical instructors always asked a million questions about our patients. That was definitely something I wasn’t prepared to have once I started clinical.
