Finally! Someone who understands this video. You're the first person that understands the storyline when reacting to the video. You noticed the angel of death from the very beginning and noticed the kiss of death. In all the other reactions that I have seen; everyone is so confused by the storyline but not you; you got every single detail. Love this reaction! ❤

There's one part, where she's at the bar and she follows that guy that ends up killing her. Right in that moment she feels this might be her last time. You can see it in her face that she knows this is it. And the angel of death starts to cry too, because it's time, and she never had the change to be happy. And then when the angel gives her the kiss of death, and the guy comes into the room, she just lets herself go and smiles, because it will all be over soon, and she feels relieved by that. The moment she was hoping for is there and her miserable life will be finally over.
I have to say, her acting in this video is top-notch. Absolutely mesmerizing. If there were Oscars for acting in music videos she should win them all with this performance.

Good point there is a maturity to  Madonna in the 90’s

The one and only live performance of this gem is stunning!!

Possibly the best Madonna video EVER.

This video is stunning.

This song and video is sooo underrated. One of my favourite from Madonna. Also she proves here she can act.

This is an outstanding music video. Perfect cinematography..story line. Madonna's beauty and realness. I was in awe when this came out.

Bad Girl! Drunk by Six.  Dead by 12? 🤷🏻‍♂️😂  Song, video, SNL performance…🔥 Glad you loved it.  Christopher Walken gave it some gravitas too.  One of the best videos for sure! (And omfg…the cat food lick.  I’m not the only one…what is that??) 💀

If anyone could give emotion and pain across in a video, it's M.  She always brings to life the actual lyrics she is singing about.  You 💯 got this song!  👍👍

Love you Empress! My god this is one of Madonna's greatest videos. Beautifully shot, edited, with a story. Madonna looks gorgeous, and Christopher Walken! Holy crap this video still gives me the feels all these years later. I hope she performs this great song on the Celebration tour! Love this journey, keep em coming!

Never clicked on a reaction so fast lol - I ADORE this video! I agree it's a top 5.  Madonna has never looked more beautiful, and this video proves she would've been an amazing silent actress.  I remember gossip and behind the scenes shots were in the magazines at the time. Originally M wanted Tim Burton to direct the video, he said no.  This is the final project she did with David Fincher.

Fun easter egg - Louise is obviously her middle name and Oriole was the name of the street she lived on with Sean Penn.  The video was loosely based on the 70s movie "Looking for Mr. Goodbar."
As great as both the song and video are, it bombed on the US charts.  She's only performed it once live on SNL and it was amazing.

PS... super thin eyebrows were a thing during this time, and Madonna was on trend, again bizarre time lol.  We are definitely in the grown-ass Madonna era, and she never really looks back ✌

The number of times I've cried to this song back in the day. Ugh. Its the self destructive behavior that gets to me so bad (drinking to much, smoking to much, working to much, not much sleep, not eating right, going out all the time, no real friends, sex without a real connection, heart longing for someone else). I felt every bit of it back then. I, too, was in self-destruct mode at that time. Like I said before, I felt like she and I had been on the same life-long journey.  But, OMG, can we talk about how absolutely stunning and beautiful she is in this video! 😍

Great video!!!❤❤❤

Best music video ever...her acting is on point and there is so much to discover each time watching this masterpiece. The song is absolute 🔥 of course

Yes girl keep dropping them reactions!! Videos like this make you love her all over again the goddess of pop for real

That’s right, E, “cautionary tale”! This is one of my favorite Madonna videos bc collectively (song, plot, direction, cinematography, Chris Walken looming) it all worked beautifully. Yep, it’s sad when you know early that Louise is gonna be killed but David Fincher at the helm has got us mesmerized. 🙌🏽

"Madonna doesn't smoke. She sizzles." liz rosenberg circa 1990

One of my favorite Madonna songs and videos. I was like 4 or 5 when this video came out but I remember being so enamored with it. I didn’t get all the themes at the time but I loved it.

The cat food was ICONIC for me! Christopher Walken requested the scene where he dances.  There’s so many storytelling elements to appreciate it can be watched again and again
