► In this webinar, Goran Stevanovski explores how healthcare educators can integrate artificial intelligence into flipped learning to improve student preparation, protect valuable contact time, and provide more personalized support after class.
Rather than treating the flipped classroom simply as assigning videos before a lesson, this session presents it as a deliberately designed learning sequence. Students prepare before class, apply and discuss their knowledge during class, and receive follow-up based on evidence generated throughout the learning process.
The key question is not simply where AI can be added, but whether it improves these learning transitions without removing the thinking, reasoning, and interaction that make active learning effective.
Throughout the webinar, examples from Lecturio, Healer, and SimTutor demonstrate how learning resources, practice, feedback, clinical reasoning experiences, and faculty decisions can work together across the flipped learning sequence.
The session also emphasizes an important principle for educators: a successful flip isn't defined by the presence of a video. Simply moving a lecture online changes the delivery method, but it doesn't necessarily transform learning. The value of flipped learning comes from intentionally designing what learners do before class, how they use faculty and peer interaction during class, and what happens afterward.
When used appropriately, AI can help educators strengthen these transitions. But when it summarizes, answers, or reasons on behalf of students, it can also remove the cognitive work the learning activity was designed to develop.
This webinar is designed for medical and nursing faculty, curriculum leaders, instructional designers, program directors, and other health professions educators interested in flipped learning, active learning, and the responsible integration of AI into teaching.
