This is a report on a decluttering and sorting service we provided for a client's family home in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.

Our client was a man in his 50s living in Sendai City.

He had obtained quotes from multiple companies to find a reliable decluttering service provider for his family home.

He had a negative experience with a previous move where he was charged additional fees on the day of the service, so he was particularly careful in his selection this time, wanting to avoid another mistake.

While some of the quotes exceeded 2 million yen, Sorafune carefully reviewed the scope of work and offered a significantly lower price.

Furthermore, to accommodate his request to keep costs down, we adjusted the work schedule and spread the work over several days.

During the work period, the client visited his family home several times to check the progress and the actual work being done.

And then came the day of handover, when the decluttering was complete.

Through meticulous sorting and searching for valuables, even though the client had checked beforehand, we found a large sum of money and other valuables in unexpected places.

"I'd seen it on YouTube, but I never thought we'd actually find so much in my own family home."

"I'm so glad I asked Sorafune to do it."

These kind words, and the client's smile, made the scene truly memorable.

◆ What we value in estate cleanup

Even though they're all called "estate cleanup," the work content, sorting methods, thoroughness of valuables searches, and pricing structures vary greatly from company to company.

Ultimately, the result—the house being cleaned up—may look the same.

However, the process itself is vastly different.

If you're considering cleaning out your family home or estate cleanup in or around Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, we recommend checking the following points in addition to the estimated price.

• Will there be any additional charges on the day of the work?

• Will they carefully sort through each sentimental item and valuables?

• Will they thoroughly search for cash and valuables?

• What methods will they use to carry out the work?

• Can I trust their past track record and the responsiveness of their staff?

At Sorafune, we don't just empty the house; we carefully sort through each item, ensuring that cash, valuables, and sentimental items are not overlooked during the estate cleanup process.
