Hi Ginger, I have been using Dorlands Wax Medium in my mixed-media journals for years, to keep the pages from sticking together. Wow, now I have another use for it, lol, it never occurred to me to use it to protect my watercolor paintings, thank you. God bless, Linda😊💖🙏🌹

Do not apply the wax with a cloth and it won’t smear. Instead rub it on with latex gloves fingers. Then buff with a soft shoeshine brush after a day or two of drying. Repeat two or three coats. Works great for me. Find my work online

I've seen other artists spray their art first with an archival varnish spray (ie Krylon) and once dry will apply dorlands wax. I did this with my watercolor and there was zero transfer.

I use my geli plate not the knock or mick ones I use the original geli plate I put my sealer on it and then I put my art work over it like Im pulling a print and it seals great works every time with out messing up my work. I use this method for anything I want to layer over my work to seal or layer works. Hope this can be of use. You have amazing artwork. Love your changel
