A 27-year-old checked into a Santa Monica sober living house on a Saturday night. By Sunday morning, he was pronounced dead. More than a week later, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner still hasn't said why. His name was Presley Gerber, Cindy Crawford's son, and he's number one on this list.

But first, 14 other famous faces we lost in 2026, from Sam Neill, Chuck Norris and Robert Duvall to Catherine O'Hara, James Van Der Beek, Eric Dane and Dolly Parton. Some of these deaths were expected. Some weren't. And a few come with details most people missed: a cause of death that wasn't the one everyone feared, two legends gone on the very same day, a role with no lines that launched a career, and a death certificate that tells two different stories.
