loving it and having great fun but agree sometimes the ground threat chasing you is frustrating

I would not like to admit the amount of times I killed phoebe...........and still have not gotten steel and sons. I know the event ends in little under a month, but i think i am completely burnt out.

If I get another overlord… imma lose it

The first week was fun. But other than that it’s bad. After killing Phoebe about 45-50 times, creating a new character did give me a new loot pool of items but still no S&S.

I hate the loot pool is so big that I havo almost no chance of get the exotic I want, good way to farm exotic components though.

I’ve finished the Incursion every week since it was introduced. I still haven’t gotten Steel & Sons. Then, like an idiot, I got hooked on Phoebe and took her down around 90 times. I even made a new character, boosted it to level 40, transferred all my exotics to the other character, and still no drop.
The worst part is that I’m an idiot because I have a family and don’t have much time to play, and I’ve got games like Onimusha and The Blood of Dawnwalker waiting for me, and as of today, Gears E-Day too. And here I am, like an idiot, still wasting my time on Phoebe, hoping Steel & Sons will finally drop. I know the gun isn’t even anything special, but by now it’s become an obsession.

12:12 This sort of a system was implemented in The First Descendant and it made the game so much more enjoyable. You could mark an item you wanted to farm, meaning if the item had a 5% chance of drop, you could get it by the True Random Distribution chance(regular), but in case you got really unlucky, after 20 kills you'd be guaranteed to get the drop.

Was excited for this event, but farming for day's, day's and to get nothing is just not worth it. I've got thousands of hours on this game( just ask my wife) and have never had to work so hard to receive nothing. I just stopped doing it, again what it takes to even get Phoebe to spawn is tiring, then do all the work and get exotics you've had for year's. The Ravenous and Eagle Baerers aren't even rare anymore. I love completing set's and finding everything there is to find in this game. I will just wait till they put the stuff on the extended goals at the end of the season. G.G's also the amount of players on the game looks really good when they pitch to investors, look at the player count's, we have a great game here to invest in.

Destiny 2 had loot protection to avoid ongoing exotic duplicates.
Division 2 would benefit from this.

The event is a lot of fun and I hope more things are done like this in the future! Though after over a 100 phoebe kills and not a single steel and sons drop has really taken its toll and lowered my opinion of the event. It gets increasingly frustrating

This event is both fun and the biggest fucking pain in the arse I've ever touched.
Had more than one occasion where I've been involved in killing the Phoebe, killed the Phoebe and then not been given any loot for it. Have raised a support ticket over this and will see what happens.
But honestly I won't be seeing the exotics she's allegedly supposed to drop because of this bug so will have to hope they get put into retaliation lmao.
I also get the idea behind permanent night time... But I don't like it personally. I would still prefer it to have changing time of day really

Nothing killed my motivation to play more than doing the most damage and not getting a single drop from the boss. Like, multiple times.

I went hard for almost 2 weeks, running the Red Moon Rising DZ for about 4 to 5 hours a day. I gave up 4 days ago after getting 8 gold only drops in a row. Haven't been back, and I've never been happier about abandoning an event!

I only got my S&S after creating a new character and doing the event with it. The loot pool is just Overlords, Ridgeways and Liberty.

Good for exotic components, but gets frustrating and exhausting overtime.

Pestilences tick damage also bypasses her shield. I was hitting the rotors last night with my new build and I got up to 1.6 million in damage per tick and I just watched her drop. It was pretty glorious!

After farming her for 40-50 times and no luck with getting vertigo or S&S, i created a new lvl 40 with all of my exotics out of my stash and within 6 hours i had both the vertigo and S&S new AR. i did the intended loop of farming landmarks and getting her to spawn that way for the first week or so of the event. but i found out (cause i timed it) that server hoping IS faster by just a few minutes, my timing for getting spawns for Phoebe was about 15-20 when it was me and maybe 4 others in the DZ farming (but most of the time it was just me and my bro playing becasue everyone else was server hopping), and it was anywhere from 5 to 12 minutes just server hopping to find her and it was even faster when both me and my bro were server hopping to find her. BUT there was some instances where phoebe got defeated before we got there or just straight up didnt drop me anything, which adds to the frustration of this event.

The event been fun but my quest to get the steels and son exotic still going on when the boss keep dropping the same exotic over and over again not fun or the same named gear over again when I just want the steel and son exotic to drop also not a fan of the no loot drop when I have pacipated or constantly getting rekt by the robo mutts

They should have done something that set up and led into the Central Park DLC

Not worrying about getting the S&S (I don’t have one) has made it a fun thing I dip into here and there, and every so often I get something cool.

With Iron Will, I’m finally running a sniper build, which has really changed the game for me, and specifically the PVE DZ in a fun way. As someone who’s never excelled at clicking heads, pairing the Mantis and the Iron Will has given me access to a style of play that I simply couldn’t manage before. And I’m enjoying neatly cleaning up flanking enemies when I’m with a group, supporting their push for landmarks, etc.

It’s just fun! I’m really liking the variety of play this season is supporting.

My main problem with the prototype drops in the event is, I think I'm cursed, every freakin' armor prototype has one roll filled with health...........
