Jesus christ no wonder those roaches are living underground when hell is right above "Don't look up!!!!"

I would require an entire CDC certified hazard suit to clean that habitat out

14:21 saw a spider making the great escape

im just barely able to handle the concept of keeping a tarantula as a pet but having a full tank of wild spiders that have several egssacs waiting to spawn more is a thought and vision that terrifies me deep to my core. i will watch on through your videos because despite my fears i am deeply fascinated but wow am i not built for this😂😂

I’m beginning to think that the den is dark so he can’t see how many freeloaders are on his walls 🤣🤣🤣

Oh to be a spider living rent free in a super cool Petko terrarium 🕷️

The amount was Absolutely WILD tho! my jaw dropped more and more with how many were being stacked on top LOL 🤣

So what you’re saying Petko, is your enclosures are so bad ass that wild spiders decide to move in? Lol That’s nuts! 😂

The roaches eating was a crazy time lapse

Those spiders are definitely some kind of Steatoda. They’re the mild cousins of the true black widows. Fittingly they’re called False Widows. Definitely cool to see them multiply so fast like that. We get them a lot in my region of the US. Ours have neat looking brown markings, though I’ve also seen the completely black variety as well. Yours are most likely Steatoda nobilis but there’s 100+ species globally so that’s just a guess.

Did no one else catch the critter running up the camera lens at 12:43 ???????

I'm like the inverse of the arachnophobes where every tarantula and spider is a precious baby that I want to stare at adoringly, but watching you touch a bunch of roaches gives me the ick

Definitely brave trusting the talcum powder 😳

big box of nightmares

14:14 spider making a run for it down the bottom right

"Buddy you have a lot of work to do?" Like do you blame the poor guy?

1:54 opening this monstrosity should be considered a war crime😅

To your question about how people feeling unease with spiders. My GF reply was just: No! No! and No!

20:05 tips for cutting glass:
always do it in one stroke, never go back to redo, and don't be afraid to use a lot of force.
tap the whole length until you can see small fractures, preferably starting at one end and propagating to the other side
place the cut over the edge of the table, grab the middle and gently push while pulling away.

14:15 one crawled across the corner of the lid thing lol

I find it so interesting how many types of spider species can semi-live amongst each other without being truly communal.

This was my induction to the TheDarkDen..OMG…I can’t believe you did this all inside! So impressed. I went on a TDD binge watch after this but had to return to this video to comment.
