I bumped in to Stuart and a couple of mates at a coffee shop awhile ago. He was having a coffee before going out on a motorbike ride while I was mid cycle ride. Hes a really friendly genuine guy. Enjoyed the video

I knew when I moved to Thailand that I preferred the slower pace of life away from the cities and tourist areas. I agree that you can have comfortable life very affordable. I seldom turn on AC. Eat local and just enjoy my peace. I had set a budget of 90000 and had extras in place prior to moving being I had visited many times. Reality is I am happy and spend around 30k a month for 2 of us.

If I started over, I would not buy 90% of the stuff I have. It is just an anchor. Frugal living, simple living, is the key.

Stuart seems like a good bloke, and I felt for him when he mentioned losing his folks and girlfriend. The anxiety thing is probably related to that grief, so I hope he's working through it, and wish him all the best.

He hit the nail on the head. Got a parking ticket just for getting something to eat. Yep, it feels like we are punished in the UK for existing!! I would love to move to thailand too. Im currently over here in Thailand and wish to stay forever.

Inspirational character is stu. I have only been in thsiland for holidays but what he says at 23.00 is very true. Only trouble you will encounter if you are respectful is with other foreigners especially the english

Of all the videos I have watched on Youtube regarding moving to Thailand - the advice this chap gives is without doubt the most useful I have seen.
It's so refreshing to see a Brit move somewhere other than Pattaya and give a glimpse of his lifestyle that is based on wellness and not 'booze 'n' birds'. I'm sick to death of seeing videos of 'Fred & the boys (or whoever) do a pub crawl on Soi Bukhaow. Good luck.
