I'll try to be blunt and unbiased in my review. It is definitely not as good as an IRL campaign. Also, without spending on the ability to use premium models, there are moments when the free AI's do get off topic or off story pretty bad. The summarizing does usually throw the campaign for a loop. That being said, there are manual steps that you can take, and as long as you are good at simplifying or asking the AI to do a simplified update, some type of "important canonical event" type folder or section helps retaining enough information to keep the story in-line enough, and as far as AI dm's are concerned, it can definitely scratch an itch for DnD if you don't have a group to play with or if the group you do play with don't play enough to keep you satisfied. It's also EXCEPTIONAL at homebrew stuff as long as you help guide it, and does custom type worlds that utilize DnD-type mechanics very well. It's thoroughly enjoyable if you want to feel like you're controlling the main character of a book. The only issue I personally have with it sometimes, is that the AI DM will sometimes sit there and ask me what happens next in situations that are CLEARLY meant for it to decide, as I'm only supposed to speak for my character, so you may have to waste a bit of time correcting it, though that's to be expected, as it is still, at it's base, AI. It's an interactive text-based story game, and to me, as someone who grew up reading books like Eragon and playing any rpg/adventure that fits the DnD theme, I find AI Realm fun and good enough. It's not perfect, but nothing is, and it's a far sight better than a lot of others I've tried for my personal taste.

3:16 my friend, dont read community feedback from a year before. By the time you upload this video AI Realm is a lot better. It also has "AI summary system" which is now exist on "Notes" to summaries your old encounters. Something that is missing in your "Notes" in minute 2:56

Nothing and I mean nothing slips up and destroys your game constantly than Franz the AI in Friends and Fables. And I’m praying AI Realm is better. Friends and Fables is sometimes unplayable. I have reviews and full proof of the AI messing up everything you can think of. But I haven’t tried AI Realm yet.

Hi, which AI rpg site do you recommend for long D&D campaigns? I tried AI realms but the end game requires constant corrections from the player which is very annoying 🫤
