Dear fellow members of The Fear Factory family,
May we present our newest nightmare?👁
Go watch it here: https://youtu.be/sGl-J5eFmmI — if you dare. 🖤

I like how scared people in tents always make sure to switch on a really bright LED light just to make sure the lunatic outside can see them but they can’t see anything outside.

They were woken by a scream across the woods.... Meow

I can’t wrap my head around solo camping or hiking with no protection at all.

"I’m not afraid of being alone in the woods… I’m afraid when I’m not."

The trail camera being gone means Martin never left, he just sunk into the darkness and watched. That's spooky man

When the sun goes down, the REAL  threat comes out. Humans.

Filming yourself "wake up" instantly to a "weird sound" will never not seen incredibly fake.

"They fled bare foot into the night!"

I was homeless around 2015 to 2017 in Houston

At one point I was living in the woods off of i-45. One night while sleeping in my tent or at least trying to, maybe 2 or 3 in the morning... Mind you I barely had any reason to be there. Nobody else had a reason to be there at all. I was just trying to find a safe place to sleep so for anybody to be there wandering around.... Kind of weird.

I'm usually a heavy sleeper but because I was having to sleep in a tent on the ground outside that wasn't happening. I was already paranoid about other homeless people finding my tent and my stuff when I would leave it for the day because I realistically couldn't take it with me everywhere I went, so I started pulling a bunch of brush and cover over my tent to make it look like it was just some overgrown patch.

That saved my life.

When I heard that guy come stammering through the woods cussing and talking to himself. I knew if he saw me I was dead.

To this day that has to be my biggest fear. Not the animals that live in the woods but the people that have no reason to be there late at night.

Ironically, it happened again a few months later after I found a spot at a car wash where the owner let me stay in exchange for keeping an eye on the place. Came back one night and there was a tall (just for the description so don't take it anyway) young black guy who want to make the assumption may have had some kind of mental issues...

I was walking back into the car wash which was an odd building. One half of it looked like it used to be a restaurant which is where I was staying but it was completely gutted. The floor was dirt and the front wall was completely missing so anyone could just walk right in. As I walked in this young but very large, I want to say a kid was just standing in the dark in the corner holding on to his backpack straps. I was so terrified. I tried to use a deep voice and said who is there and he ran past me brushed my shoulder almost knocked me down but I could tell it wasn't intentionally and as he passed me he was obviously crying and he cried out I'm sorry as he ran out.

After a few hours and half a bottle of vodka later I managed to finally go to sleep, feeling terrified and absolutely heartbroken... That poor kid thought he may have found some safe place for the night and I just ran him out. 😭

This world is rough.

0:18 pretty sure that was just a cat meow. Lol

The most dangerous part of hiking/camping are other human beings

I don’t understand how you’re gonna be in the woods when it’s dark out and you shine the light on yourself

He watched him put that camera up on that tree. He was so right to leave.

The dudes sleeping in the van with a bright light facing them and their lapel mics on…yeah. That’s definitely real.

18:40..”they fled barefoot into the night”.  They were driving in a van!

Any old Appalachian mountain resident will tell you, "If you hear your name being called in the woods, don't answer, don't interact. Turn around and go back to your house or camp."

The absolute worst thing you can do is turn a light on in a tent or inside your vehicle. That lets people see you but you can't see them.

I remember camping in Devon near Ilfracombe, had permission from the farmer, set up camp and went for a walk across a field into a small valley. I could hear running water so walked towards the sound, finding a narrow stream. Walking along the edge of the stream I came across a dead sheep, but only half a sheep. Its head shoulders and front legs and bare spine. Something had eaten it pretty good. I headed back up to my tent. Had some food, sat by a small fire I had started and lay looking at a clear sky full of stars. I then cleaned up my mess and climbed into my tent. I soon fell asleep. All of a sudden I was woken with the sound of something outside the tent, breathing heavily. All of a sudden something was pushing the tent like it was trying to get under it. I hit it through the tent, it went quiet for a minute then something pushed the whole tent down I pulled my legs up. That's it I gota see what it is. I put my head touch on opened the tent and a brown pony was staring at me. I sat for a while with it near by looking back at the stars telling it not to speak up on people. Then climbed back into my tent and got some sleep. The next day I saw the farmer and told him about it. He said he forgot to tell me I'd be sharing the field with his wife's pony. All good in the end.

I don't understand 'I don't want to turn my light on- but I'm gonna talk so they can hear me instead.'
