This is an honest respectful gorgeous tribute to David Bowie. Follows the tone and path he laid and does not try to show offnbut still makes it her own. Humble honest exquisite. Bowie would love it.

I get uncontrollable tears listening to this cover for the first time

as "old" metalhead I tell you: Aurora is just amazing

Aurora takes this song and makes it her own.  I agree with the assessment of her strength being deceptively soft and authentic.

Aurora one of the northen lights!! Thanks for reacting to this angel!

Wow! And this is why I love Aurora so much.

Aurora is like...the Picasso of the interpretive music genre, I think. 🌟🌙🌟

Someone said that she really doesn't care what we think of her perfomance, and that is a superpower :face-red-heart-shape:

This version is mind blowing.

She's extremely brave taking on a classic song, this is why she's so good. Her control is so good, it's like hearing the song for the first

You picked a perfect artist to react to today, Aurora is a healer of all. I hope you feel much better soon.

That's a real Fender Rhodes piano, not a synth.
And I love her voice in this, gliding between the notes

She has never had a vocal coach, never singing lessons, never piano lessons, she can't read music notes. She does everything by ear.

It takes a brave performer to cover a classic. Most crash and burn. This lady does a very credible and highly accomplished cover. Sad to learn you have not been well. Take good care of yourself while you recover.

Sabina – I agree with virtually everything you said here about Aurora. Her performances should be viewed holistically with honesty being just one component of the whole.

She is part fjord fairy sprinkling magic dust around and part feral forest creature. And speaking of cognitive dissonance, she somehow stirs a variety of emotions in me that appear to be contradictory – sadness and joy, for example, in one song. All her covers are special – please consider doing Famous Blue Raincoat (Leonard Cohen) – her performance is spectacular and I think you will find the lyrics a challenge.

Hope you will soon be fully recovered. Cheers.

i really enjoy her take on this Bowie classic and your reaction to it, nice job. She is a very special artist

This cover is so good. Love it. And these emotions and her expressions... For me Aurora is a real artist and she "lives by music".
BTW: her voice or piano skills are not trained she just discovered her ways and learnt everything by herself (starting from very early years: 6 to play, 9 to make lyrics).

Thank you for a reaction :).

Pure is her middlename. She is my soulhealer. Thank you so much Sabina for your loving word

Bowie would have loved this!

Here she was in her late teens- 18-19 I believe. It would be fun to see and listen to You react to the full "Haik documentary and concert" with Aurora. That starts to show why she is as good as she is. You should do that one before her concert in Nidarosdomen Cathedral
