This method works well when the dog is able to concentrate on food and isn't distracted by other stimuli. This happens for a number of reasons.
1. A hungry dog responds well to training and follows the trainer's hand. Eventually, the dog earns a reward, and training becomes a favorite activity, involving something tasty.
2. The training environment is familiar to the dog, and there's nothing interesting that could interest or distract it.
3. The dog has already developed the habit of walking beside the handler through previous training, so it maintains the correct position out of habit and discipline. Now, they start using the handler's food. Naturally, the dog walks even better.

С какова возраста можно начинать, а с какого плотно заниматься?

сейчас ему 2.5 месяца. Очень активен, покусывает руку. Что с этим делать?
И скорее всего у меня полукровка, мама точно овчарка, про папу история темная. Но в помете все одинаковые были.
