Saw him on Taskmaster, and he's probably the funniest comedian I've seen in ages - great sense of surreal humour, 4th wall breaks and dark comedy. Love it

The "that's all I'm prepared to say at this time, thank you!" Is a really nice touch lol

Fucking hilarious seeing some of these takes from people unfamiliar with Sam. Dude's been on the circuit for several years already, and won the top prize at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022. His comedy is definitely niche but he's doing just fine. Every misinformed comment assuming he's some guy off the street gives me so much life. Keep being you Sam, ya champion.

I have no clue why this comment section is so negative. The set is killer, particularly the hypnotist part. It’s insane to see so much hate for something so subjective

POV: You can’t find the “uninformed” and “negative” comments everyone is talking about

Probably one of the best taskmaster contestants.  That cobalt non story was the funniest deadpan ad-lib I've ever seen

He is an absolute madman. I love it

I only just discovered Sam Campbell through taskmaster and he is hilarious 😂

Whilst I appreciate he may not be everyone’s cup of tea - he may be someone’s shot of whiskey, so why people are being shitty about him is beyond me 🤷‍♀️

This is guy is an actual genius. So orginal. On another level

“That is all I am prepared to say at this time!!”

I love Sam. He’s more than happy to do what he wants to do and not just pander to an audience and I think he’s brilliant 🤷🏻‍♀️

So pleasantly tangential. No mercy for the audience. His train of thought monologue or else. Great stuff!!! 😂😂😂

my favourite part about this is that Howard is still giving a platform to new, young and fresh comics
it’s worth remembering that not everybody whom appeared on Good News Extra has gone on to have a career or a successful career in comedy, out of the hundreds whom took the Good News Extra stage are household names, and it’s because they were undoubtedly funny straight outta the gate, notably were James Acaster, Nick Helm, Reggie Watts, Ed Gamble, and Doc Brown - there are many more but these were the stand out names off of the top of my head

Sam is the comedy equivalent of people who listened to so much music that they can only enjoy obscure Sumatran jazz fusion bands.

i think about the whole part about being beaten up by a big bloke daily, not a single day passes without one "i want a big bloke to squish me" coming up in my brain

im obsessed w chad michael steel, extraterrestrial hypnotist

Everything he does feels like a fever dream 😂😂😂

Got to see the new season of task master live and id never heard of sam Campbell until then, now i cant get enough of him! He was great on task master!

I want to believe that his previous gigs, when he occasionally but legitimately stumbled through his lines, was just set up for this event.

This guy sold out a 750 seat venue at the fringe last year for a *10 minute set*! 10 minutes! It takes more than 10 minutes to get the audience in or out of that venue, one of the biggest at the festival. That is how funny he is, naysayers. I missed out, he is brilliant!
