This video was several months in the making! I wanted to have it out closer to IF's 10th anniversary (March 8th), but I also knew better than to rush it. If you haven't read IF yet, you can find the full story at https://invertedfate.com/chapters Videos like this take a LOT of time, so if you wanna support what I do, please consider pledging on my Patreon at https://patreon.com/dorked Also, let me know what Inverted Fate tracks you'd like to see on Youtube! I'm gonna try to gradually upload them on a weekly basis. (The tracks must be ones I composed).

being well versed in Undertale without the Fandom's interpretation gave you the upper hand. I envy you bruh

"10 years ago I released the very first comic for the Undertale AU Inverted Fate" oh my god I feel so old

Managing to stay on a single project and making so much on it for so many years is insanely impressive

Such a simple premise grew into such a unique AU. I was a huge fan of the cutscene art, so to think it started from comic panels...well, that's good motivation for the rest of us starting small too!

Inverted Fate truly is something special to me. It still stands as the best Undertale AU this community has ever produced to me in my opinion and it inspires my writing for Undertale and outside to this day.

To me, Inverted Fate proved that it is possible to make something so large and special. Among many cancelled ambitious projects it stands giving me hope that one day I can complete my own.

Thank you Dorked, Phi, Liz and every single talented creator that went through this production. You have created something very special.

To be honest this has been a long journey and it’s crazy how much inverted fate has changed into
Somewhat become it’s own thing that can be separate of undertale

I think the best way to describe Inverted Fate is this one comment I read in one of the videos, I don't remember which one it was, but it was something like this: "It's amazing how Inverted Fate manages to both somehow do it's own thing while at the same time staying very true to the source material" and this look back on whole series proves that much.

This series means a lot to me and your channel as a whole. I've discovered so many new things about Undertale that I didn't think I would for a game that's over 10 years old now, while also being aware of the common fanon misconceptions with the characters, and IF gave me so much more interesting possibilities and ideas that's stuck with me for years. IF truly encapsulates something Toby Fox himself about the Underground in the 10th anniversary stream that also applies to Undertale itself, funnily enough, "it's as big as you want it to be." I understand grtting cold feet before the finale, but regardless of how good it'll end up being, a finale of any kind is better than none at all (saying all this as a Tron fan FYI), and I look forward to sering how this series ends. From the bottom of my heart, no soul...

Thank you, Dorked and the entire IF team, for the incredible 10 years, and here's to many more. ❤

Any time The video shows footage of the Determinator my heart just begins to cry again that it isn't playable

Inverted Fate is one of my favourite aus. It has a lot of very unique changes to characters and the setting, while still being close enough to Undertale that it doesn't feel like you're just making an unrelated story that happens to have Toby Fox's characters.
I also like how you didn't make Sans edgy or overpowered. What puts me off of most AU's is that Sans ends up being the most important character for some reason.

I love the implications that Undyne basically forced Mettaton to be upfront as opposed to the original cousin who just mysteriously vanished and nobody else knows he’s really Mettaton.

Trust me, you won't let people down. We all love IF and what you have done with it, keep up the good work!

YESSSSS!!!
I love this AU so much!
(I only recently started to really understand my own AuDHD, so I‘m still often very unfocused. It took me 3 hours to watch the whole video because of how often I rewinded, because I tried to take it all in.)

I only got into UT and DR when DR ch2 released (I was 15 at the time), and I played first Deltarune and then Undertale. While I was doing my first blind playthrough, I think I was already watching someone else’s blind playthrough to the game on the side (I think it was Jacksepticeye’s), and I _immediately became OBSESSED with Undertale, scavenging the internet for fan creations for YEARS and just CONSUMING EVERYTHING I could find.

Eventually it became more difficult for me to find fan content, because I was unfamiliar with the algorithms of other sites (than YouTube), but eventually I came across the first Determinator battle on YouTube. And upon seeing the spoiler warning (despite technically already having been spoiled by the thumbnail and the image next to the spoiler warning), I decided to find (well… it wasn’t really all that difficult to "find" considering the website was literally linked right there) the start of the comic, and decided to read from there, hoping that it wasn’t either poor quality, or another discontinued fan project.

And OH MY FUCKING GOD!! I spent like, 3 days straight reading the comic, and only stopping to sleep!
I, LOVED IT!!! (And I was really upset that pretty much no one had produced fan content, or reaction content to Inverted Fate.)
(I think when I was done, the victory lap was about to release. Or… now that I‘m thinking about it.. it might’ve been either before the Sixth Anniversary Special, or Skeletons in the Closet. My memory is really hazy.)

It since remained my favorite Undertale community project Of All Time!
Maybe this sounds like I‘m exaggerating - which I’m not - (or just really pathetic) - and I really don’t wanna put pressure on you guys for having to live up to some kinda standard when making the finale - but NOTHING that I can remember right now compares to the release of another piece of IF content in terms of the excitement I have experienced! (Ok, maybe a new Splatoon game/DLC. Not sure. It’s been a while.)
To the point where I‘m shaking from excitement!

Personally… I didn’t really notice how drawn out the final arc was. I was just happy to see good writing that I thoroughly enjoyed!
Also, I find a lot of the early concept art really cuuutee! <3
I also still very much love IF Undyne and Papyrus!

Man… I have changed so much since I first read Inverted Fate. On one side, it feels like I am a completely different person, while on the other it feels like I am still the same person I was yesterday. (Yada yada, "Despite everything it’s still you", yada yada.) (I’ve especially changed within the last year. WAY more than the years before that. I’ve figured out so much about myself within the last year. To so many questions I have had my entire life.)
I‘m almost 20 now… Huh.

I have greatly enjoyed my time following this project! Thank you all so much for everything you all have done for Inverted Fate!
I am really excited for the upcoming finale!
I‘m sure it will be great! I know you all will have done an amazing job! You have done it in the past, so I‘m sure you can do it again! (Especially since you all have grown since then.)
I BELIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEVEEE!!!!!!!!!!! <3

(Oh, btw: Not particularly important, but if done, then highly appreciated suggestion:
It would be great if you guys made a trailer for Inverted Fate as a whole, to get more people interested. I think that might help with getting people interested, and leaving good first impressions. (Maybe sometime after the finale has been released??))

Perfect, not perfect, doesnt really matter that much, as long you’re doing what you love and putting your soul into it, already creates an amazing experience

Inverted Fate has genuinely been one of the most passionate and narratively excellent AUs I've seen. It fixes the whole concept of Underswap, and is one of the only AUs that gives itself an in-game reason for existing with Asriel resetting the timeline. It's a truly impressive project that you can not just see but feel evolve with each chapter, even reading them all in retrospect. I found this AU about a year and a half ago, binged the entire story in 5 days and was instantly hooked. It will stand among the greats of UT/DR AU projects like Undertale Yellow and Deltatraveler. Massive kudos for you and your whole team - we're in the home stretch and I can't wait to see how the story concludes!

The sheer amount of quality content in this AU is alone something to be proud of. Like I remember reading it years ago and it was such a fresh breath of air. In many ways it reflects the current era of UT fangames despite being created years before (which is a definite compliment). It might be a lot to live up to now, but I hope you give yourself some grace because Inverted Fate as a project is easily one of the largest and highest quality the fandom has seen period. I also think having the humility to go back and make sprawling adjustments to the format and structure really helped sell exactly what you were going for with the AU. Looking forward to the finale, personally my view of the comic won’t be changed by minor pacing issues or other little things because I’m just glad something that dissects the characters this thoughtfully exists in the first place. Just creating something to this scale and quality is a big win already! Good luck with getting it out there, I’ll keep an eye out for it when it’s ready to release.

Inverted Fate is one of my most favorite Undertale AU fan projects that I have seen.

I really love the designs that were made for Characters while also retaining their personalities.
As well as also having Frisk having various designs with their various outfits.

I also liked a lot of the references it was kinda neat when I heard Bravely Second's Final boss theme as part of Undyne's Mecha rematch.

Also I liked the Voice acting! The voices honestly fit with the characters and was very good for both the Phoenix Wright type Trial animations and the First Mecha fight.

This video feels like a dream. I've loved UNDERTALE since 2015 without end though I've never read any au's. I look at this and it's very familliar while foreign. Comforting after so many years have passed.

[[SPOILERS]]
My first interaction with IF was with the Undyne Mecha rematch. I was like: "Oh, UT sprites, Frisk is talking", "Chara!?", "They're friends with Frisk!?". And the whole battle happened and the music was so good, the underground stood up for Frisk. And then I was like: "Oh Flowey is a good guy?", "Omg, Chara is good here too", "Papyrus is a scientist?", "Never mind, Flowey is still evil", "This post credit song is so good".
Then one thing led to another, and I'm so glad I found this wonderful story.❤❤❤

honestly what sold me on inverted fate from the start was frisk (and later chara), i love that they actually have a personality in this au and real emotions and desires, to many au's keep frisk super 1 dimensional, def my fav webcomic ever
