While this tour doesn't circumnavigate the Hochkönig, it does offer magnificent views of the imposing mountain range, as well as the Dachstein. You'll also conquer two worthwhile peaks, the Hochkeil and Hochglocker, along the 60 km and 2,350 meters of elevation gain.
If the elevation gain is too much for you, or the descent from the Hochglocker to max. S2 is too difficult, you can skip the summit and cycle directly to the cozy Pronebenhütte. Then the loop would have about 2,000 meters of elevation gain, but the Hochglocker is actually worth the extra meters...
