Here is an idea everyone will hate ….make ALL racers race bikes straight off the showroom floor…no factory mods or unobtanium parts 😎

Miss Emig in the booth man hope he’s doing great

It’s DIRTBIKES for a reason. Should be 0 concrete, grates, steel, anything used for the race.

Restrictor plate racing has all but killed nascar…….

Running a scoop on an Supercross track is insane

Haha I can measure the roost with my chest 😂 valid

Will Jace ever have James Stewart on his podcast you think?

Im turning 68 in a few days. On a few of Chases tracks, I was a amateur holeshot freaking artist from 72 -79. YOU HAVE TO WANT IT! GET RID OF! the hole shot device, the grates, the traction control and the limiter.Stop mapping!!!! Old school you effers!!!!

What’s this moto 90s movie he’s talking about ?

The start gates removed one of the key skills to acquire to be a good motocross racer, let alone a pro.  No gates and no starting devices would be great.  Paddle shifters make cars fast, but eliminate some skill required to drive and have hurt auto racing in my opinion.  It is hard to find the appropriate balance in tech and rider (or driver), but focusing on riders and drivers needing to flex skills is where many motorsports could improve.

They should run the FIM ISDE approved tyre. Similar issues in roadracing, run a less sticky tyre that makes it to the end of the race, easy.

I say get rid of holeshot devices and the grates. Make everyone start on dirt. I don’t think tires make that much of an advantage. So you run a scoop tire the advantage maybe on the start, but then you sacrifice the rest of the track, run a knobby and ok you won’t get the best start but it will give you more grip on the rest of the track so it kinda evens the playing field there. Make em start like they used to, no holeshot device and you start on dirt. I can see running a scoop at Southwick because it sand and that makes sense. Wanna make it challenging, make em run stocks at southwick so no one has traction. That would be a race right there. 😂😂

I can relate 110% with Fro on this. Scoop tires only allowed at heavy mud races and deep sand tracks. Also no holeshot devices starting blocks and metal grates as well as traction control maps.

Back in the late 80's I would run an IRC M5B on the back of my KX500 and I always got complaints from my competition that was behind me because the roost was like getting blasted non stop by a shot gun. I guy showed me his goggle lens that looked like it came out a bead blaster after a few laps behind myself. I would not want to be on the receiving end of a scoop tire on a works 450.

I run MX34 and a two stroke for everyday , scoop only at Southwick imo

The biggest improvements in the last 40 years has been chassis rigidity and tires.

I grew up watching Jeff Emig he was my favorite motocross rider his battles with Jeremy McGrath were legendary

The tire to run back in the day was the Dunlop D752.  Awesome soft tire.  I think the 952 is the same.  That tire rips!  That's all you need.

We would like to see people racing factory bikes right off the showroom floor with no mods at all. Are we racing bikes or are we selling expensive parts?

Tomac was a Beast ( no pun intended) in 2022 on the scoop…

My buddy and I use to race enduro’s and every now and then they’d send you down the sides of the railroad tracks which has all those small black rocks. We were both on 2 smokers. Me on a 500 Husky and my buddy on his 490 Maico. You made darn sure you got on the sides of the tracks first. The rocks were flying everywhere!!!
