Walked up on 2 kids burying pkms and ammo in the arghandab. No one can prepare for that. That's why we train.

Have yet to see a bad Shawn Ryan Interview. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The Clips are entertaining and even though some of the interviews are super long by most standards, still as entertaining and gripping. My favorite part is Shawn is just as locked in to what the interviewee is saying as the viewers are and not just rattling off questions. Mr. Ryan gets the most out of his guests. Tremendous Work.

Congrats Mr Ryan on a year of no alcohol. That's a battle all on its own!

This guy is just amazing. He’s intelligent, articulate, funny, not full of himself…..just amazing what he’s done and the things he’s encountered. Such a delight and pleasure to listen to him. ❤

My time in service, late & early post-Vietnam war, was mostly boring, but I have to say, I don't regret not serving in a combat role. I was aboard ship my entire enlistment, so that was unlikely, but the men who went through SEAL team training have my highest respect, and those actually saw action in these conflicts, I'm in awe of: I salute your service and sacrifice!

That’s weird why would he edit out the part where that bomb maker jumped out of the vehicle and got away

Chris is an absolute warrior at heart and a amazing human being. America needs thousands more just like him. Unfortunately with the current state of our government and our military leaders being so pathetic and brain dead, It will be hard to get folks like him to dedicate their lives to serve on behalf of our great nation.

We probably all had friends like this. God keep their tortured souls. Ghost Platoon by Campbell is a novel written to pay homage to these men.

Hey Shawn, just a tip/suggestion, when you break an interview up into segments, can you label part 1, 2...etc along with the title plz? Otherwise, love hearing the stories.

His lowvis statement reminds me of Noise Discipline NCOs when I was a young private in an 198HOW TOW Artillery unit (C 1/321 ABN)

We would ride in on an FMTV Towing the largest Artillery Piece the army has. 8 trucks and Guns and after getting set up these two NCO’s would run around chewing us out for whispering to one another. Saying “Shut the fuck up! You need noise discipline” as if no one heard us coming for the last 20 miles STEVE!

Love Shawns style, let`s the guest open up. No "journalist" these days are like this. I often forget he is there until the edit cuts to him for a quick , easy voiced question.

Incredible interviews. I think civilians should really see these and understand our veterans better. Coming from a supportive non military family citizen. God bless and thank you for your service.
