So I remember crying when I watched this in 2020 because I never thought the RnB singer/popstar that I grew up hearing on the radio while I was growing up in rural South Africa would one day make a movie starring South African actors as the characters representing older Simba and Nala.

I'm so excited for this!!! You are by far my favorite reviewer of her work. I love your depth research and attention to detail. So I appreciate you!

I know people around you love your company and conversations, beautifful person in and out, and that mind of yours is gold. Be blessed.

Find your way back is one of Beyoncé’s best songs in my opinion, I get such a euphoric feeling just from the instrumental alone but the lyrics are just as beautiful 💕

I will never forgive the Beyhive to make this masterpiece to be Beyonce's most underrated project. Y'all paid dust to this project. If I was Beyoncé, I would also never release the visual for act i, ii, iii. Y'all keep asking for her trilogy visuals but overlook this beautiful visual project. I love this body of work and it's definitely one of the best visual films I have ever experienced.

Beyoncés natural hair can be seen in the opening scenes in Bigger, Nile and Spirit

I never understood why this album is so underrated!!!! I remember so clearly being OBSESSED with this one in 2020 summer! (as a boring white european myself…)

Yes the visuals are gorgeous and it got paid dust, i dont blame beyonce for waiting to release visuals for renny and CC, ppl just wanna consume art and not appreciate it

I just suddenly realised there are people who have never heard Childish Gambino's "Awaken, My Love!". It's one of the best albums of the 2010's, inspired by Funkadelic (psychedelic soul, rock, R&B) and apparently created on a dare that he couldn't make a soul album. It's seriously amazing from cover to cover.

I will never forgive the people that slept on this project when it first came out. The way I cried throughout when I first saw this, and still get emotional whenever I watch it. I love that people are discovering it and realizing it for the masterpiece it is.

Beyoncé is many characters in the film, but the character version of her that shows up in the middle of a transition, or obstacle for “simba” is her playing the role of a protective entity, a goddess that protects and guides “simba”.

The whole album is a brilliant retelling of the lion king. This is truly her best visuals and most underrated project. It’s sooo good and Beyhive deserves some lashings for not uplifting it more lol. She really risked a lot doing this. So glad you’re reacting to this!! Love your insights
