“My Jonathan might not resemble your Jonathan in any way.”
Emile explains genetic diversity

Me who has already beaten the game twice: hmmmm interesting

Chugga said, "Yeah, I'll make a better tutorial than the game provides,"
and then he actually did it!

"Do you know what I don't love?"

Paper Mario: Sticker Star, for the Nintendo 3DS???

"The tutorials for Xenoblade Chronicles 2."

Oh yeah, that works, too.

This video is really a testament to the effort Chugga puts into his LP's as well as how dedicated he is to helping people have as enjoyable of a time as possible with whatever game he's doing. He didn't have to make this extra video but he did and I'm sure it'll be helpful to people who might be trying this game out.

Monolith: "All right, Xeno 2 is ready for shipping. But I feel like I've forgotten something..."

Nintendo: "Well, if you can't remember, it must not be important!"

Monolith: "Yeah you're right!"

Tutorial tab from Xeno 1: stands in the rain

Xenoblade Chronicles 2, gacha system: here's a calculator and here are a bunch of numbers. have fun!!!

Genshin Impact , gacha system: Where's your credit card?

Chuggaa really out here being a better tutorial than the tutorials in the game
And there’s a lot of those

So you're saying you wernt't totally prepared.

You weren't feeling it

Gonna admit that some of this I like that I'm not told about, but I wish had clearer visual indicators. Fusion Combos aren't totally well-explained, but if the boosts you got from doing them were more obvious, like the icon also saying what was being increased, it wouldn't need a tutorial. You'd learn by playing.

This game's greatest fault is that it's too intricately designed. A lot of the features you mention in this video are actually great ways of making a player feel good, but because tutorials dogpile you and also fail to properly direct you, players don't properly interact with those systems. It's a shame, but I'm very glad that you're putting it out there.

Also, I'm glad Torna generally does a better job at explaining its simplified systems because I take that as them learning their lesson.

"Auto AttacK" - why not just name it Attack, Attack Power, or Power like basically every other RPG ever?

(No spoilers) Quick story: I had access to the final boss door, and was preparing by building up Pyra's skills. Randomly, when I was in Gormott, I got a tutorial out of no-where. When I saw that it was the tutorial for unique monsters, I nearly laughed my ass off that I never actually triggered that tutorial. Just wanted to share this with the world.

Everything you wished you Xe-knew-blade about this game.

Literally everyone who intends to play the game needs to watch this. Hell, Nintendo should put this video uncut at the beginning of every copy of this game. This is the tutorial we deserved....

"This video contains no spoilers past 3 hours into the game."
Enel:

Y'know, until I watched this LP, I didn't realize just what a joke the tutorials were.

In this bonus episode:
We look at the amazing tutorials in the game!

I, like the tutorial man, am a compulsive liar.

The fact that studying for how tf XC2 works is harder than studying for my computer science exam is very concerning.

Emile explaining alt Jons be like:  "My Jonathan might not resemble your Jonathan in any way."

On the bright side, at least you didn't use "Johnson" as an example.

I mean Xenoblade 2 is an improvement over Xenoblade X in the tutorial department in the fact that it actually has them rather than telling you to read the manual (what’s funnier is that Xenoblade X doesn’t take advantage of this to have a quicker pace early on since the first several hours are still slow-paced). Xenoblade 1 does tutorials the best you can in games as complex as this by giving you the information with visual aids and access to the tutorials at anytime. I just hope that we go back to the Xenoblade 1 style tutorial system whenever we get a Xenoblade 3 or X2.
