God, I love hozier, Irish singer song-writer known best for his 1962 hit "Monster Mash"

Turns out I didn’t discover Hozier through “take me to church” back in middle school, but rather via his hit song, “monster mash” back during my kindergarten Halloween cupcake party, nice.

imagine being creepy jenny and being asked by hozier "is there a mr creepy, jenny?" DEATH

“yeah i guess work song is kinda nice” SIR THAT SONG HAS FUNDAMENTALLY ALTERED WHO I AM AS A PERSON AND A LOVER OF OTHER PEOPLE

Hozier writes songs on dares, like “How about write a song riffing off a 1700s parody about cannibalism of children but make it uncomfortably sexy so that we need to take a cold shower in bleach after hearing it, and do it in first person, unapologetically wearing a colonizer skin suit,” and he’s like, “Challenge accepted.”

Did not expect him to fall in love with Creeping Jenny

Them: suggest a song that shows that it will get better eventually.

Hozier: suggests a song about dying to prove that we will die so this shitty life will end someday.

Us: yeah that's on brand

he has a deep relationship with the monster mash 😌

"Stop this, Andrew." soooo cute

“Victoria—HA—thirteen!” 😭 ANDREW!!!

i was about to fight tooth and nail with the man when he dared to say that "no song is appropriate for a wedding" but he saved himself with work song, because of course, work song IS the pinnacle of wedding songs
