Adum: "I think I'll watch the next one"

Fell For it Again Award xd

recent episodes have been really great imo. The normie/snob dynamic between Jake and Adum is great, I think Jake was the perfect person to bring in

I bet if the film was named “Spider-Man Brand New Gay” Adum would have given it a 10

brand new day adam vs love and thunder adam

the arguments over spider man and the disagreements are what makes listening to you guys so great. Its not as interesting when everyone has the same opinion.

So wholesome for Alex the Brit to be talking so positively about his Mummy.

Ralph commenters on their way to make a Ralph joke blending the two movie titles:

The Brand New Day discussion becoming wholesome part way through was not on my bingo card 😮

I don't care who the IRS sends, I am not watching Peter get cosmically cucked again.

RIP Ralph. He ain't dead but the comments act like he is

Alex forgot about the animated Mummy series, which was pretty good from what I remember.

Good on Adum, I’ve been casually following this channel and YMS for quite a while. But I was always under the assumption that Adum didn’t like being challenged. I’m glad I was wrong! I’ve realised how consistent he is as a critic and doesn’t act as infallible as I once thought.

Figured out what makes the threesome work here: Adam is the idealist...he expects the moral of the art to be the point...Jake is the pragmatist...he expects the utility of the art to be the point....and Alex is the realist...he expects the experience of the art to be the point. But, then, they all three switch  roles and it's sooooooo hottttttt.

RIP Ralph, it's a shame he was killed by the Punisher

I agree largely with Adum's criticism of spiderman in a vacuum, but this just sounds to me like he's romanticizing past films, because boring cinematography, uninspired scores, barely competent writing, etc. Have all been common forever. Spiderman Brand New Day is not super special, but it is better written than a lot of the stuff that comes out on cinemas. It does have some interesting shots that are genuinely trying as well. That's more than the average movie and always has been.

56:31 funny part about the papa johns scene in uncharted is that it is a real papa johns with some like bronze age relics in it

I empathize with Adam.  Not specifically his opinion on spiderman, but more just on the feeling of "Am I crazy?".  There are things that I hate that many people love and it does feel isolating at times.

I feel pretty confident in saying that Adam lets the online discussions and fandoms surrounding these big properties like Marvel have FAR too much influence over his opinion on the films themselves.

I, too, really enjoy The Mummy (1999)!

"Your Movie's Everything" would be a good name for a movie review channel
