Added some rules to this challenge just to make it a little bit more interesting, otherwise there would probably be no video at all.

Thank you thewolfmanhulk2927 for this idea when I posted what I should do in my community tab :)

interesting to see the momentum mechanic that makes soda so infamous actually turn out to be the reason he's possible in this challenge

14:30: I love using MY TURN strats

one thing to love about punch out is how that even in 2024, there are new quirks, mechanics, strategies and interactions to learn

The second I saw "without Stars" I thought TD Bald Bull would just be impossible.

Great Tiger more like great time waster.

It's always satisfying beating Soda in just very little time before round 1 ends.

By the way, not only is Donkey Kong really slow, but he also has a crazy amount of health. Like... King Hippo type of health. And what's worse is, unlike Hippo, you have to knock down Donkey Kong all 3 times, while with Hippo, it's just once.

Here's a challenge that might literally be impossible. It has multiple parts to it.

1: No star punches at all.

2: No stunning opponents. If an opponent gets stunned, you have to wait for them to recover.

3: No instant knockdown or knockout techniques.

4: No interrupting taunts.

5: No winning by decision or TKO, it absolutely must be a KO by them getting counted out. (There's an exception if the game just randomly gives you the instant KO animation despite not getting an instant KO.)

And overall just... literally all you can do is dodge, block, and do normal punches lol

No star punches are literally no uppercuts allowed

The champions mode critique is understandable, but I know the research and effort for your videos is tough enough, you need to be able to truly find these patterns. So I hope you know your work is appreciated

It's funny for me to see your TD soda fight when I did this so I could get all 3 of his challenges in 1 run

There's something weird I found in Bear Hugger fight.

Sometimes in P2, if you have more than 1 heart and lose all these hearts after his 1st Bear hug, he will throw a Bear Hug after his Overhead and then he will repeat his P2 pattern.

I still have no idea in which circumstances he just changes his pattern into this after his "tired phase" overhead. I tried many things that could be an answer, but none of them were right and Bear Hugger still changed his pattern whenever he wanted

22:06 hold up, did he just do the rope headbutt thing in round one? Can’t that help for the minimum punches challenge on to Aran Ryan?

@GureoGamer 1 year ago

11:29 this must have been like 2 frames before the round ended

just a few days before this video, i coincidentally decided to very unseriously try this EXACT challenge (r1 no star), and i think i did all contender except bear hugger

@CoolCarson09 1 year ago

dude what are you on td aran is not hard, I beat him in just 30 seconds compared to the 3000000000000000000 years on td soda

awesome video! i sat wondering "besides TD BB and TD BH what else could be hard" and i am pleasantly surprised! great commentary and explanations, very entertaining!

Nice video Nolan!

Hey, just wondering Nolan, but is td von Kaiser supposed to be able to use the one hit attack in his pattern? He randomly did the attack twice without me knocking him down for him to do it.
