A Macallan 1926 Fine & Rare estimated at £1.7m–£2.2m could become the most expensive bottle of whisky ever sold, and it's being auctioned at the Macallan Estate itself.

Sotheby's and The Macallan are holding a live auction at the distillery on 9 October. There are only about 40 seats in the room, but anyone can bid online. In this video, whisky broker Mark Littler goes through his five standout lots from the sale. They include 11 original cases of Macallan, the new Romantica collection, the Golden Age of Travel Ocean Liner, a Six Pillars Collection in Lalique and the record-chasing 1926 Fine & Rare.
