This not a story. It is a telling of actual events. Farming communities are built like this. Best place in the world to live. American farmers feed the world. North Dakota proud.😍
American farmers can feed the world if allowed and economically sound. We can only be successful in America if we work and support each other. Life is not easy, never was and never will be. It takes sacrifice, a bit of suffering and a LOT of humility. As long as we have a "community", we can never fail.
Somebody doesn't know the difference between beets, corn and hay. I'm from Iowa, 77 years old, a small town of less than 500 people. Did the same thing for sick farmers, they sometime shut school down for a day so the high school kids could also help. We'd glean fields, drive tractors, shovel corn when needed etc. Good times and good food and especially good feelings. Had an uncle who farmed near LaCrosse WI. His land was so hilly you couldn't use tractors on it, had to chop corn by hand and make siliage for his dairy herd. My dad's entire family would show up and help, there were 8 men in all. It was us kids jobs to pick wild berries for the pies for Sunday dinner, they grew all over those hills. Fun finding them, more fun eating them fresh.
