April wine played our summer festival in our community park in Calgary. It was one of the last shows Miles Goldwyn did. I was lucky and appreciative of their performance. R.I.P. to a great Canadian performer taken to soon.

I was blessed to see April Wine in '79 and Triumph in "80. Also in that same time frame I saw Styx, Boston, VH, Ted Nugent, Lover Boy, Cheap Trick, Kiss. Oh what a time to be in high school.....

I saw April Wine back in the early 90s. They were only a 4-piece band at the time, with Myles, Brian, Jerry and Jim Clench. They played a small dance hall in Berlin NH! Awesome show!

Saw the shows Friday night- loved them both!!!! So grateful for both bands & their bodies of work ~the show (and time leading up to lights going down) took me back to a time that was fun and difficult- high school being what it is. Triumph was the optimism needed to get thru. Loved the shows!!!! Left with a full heart…so grateful. They were perfect…

I agree — Myles Goodwyn had such a unique voice, he’d be tough to replace. But he personally chose Marc Parent to step into that role, which says a lot. The rest of the guys clearly wanted to keep the music going, and it looks like they’re having a blast doing it — filling up smaller venues across Canada and the U.S. I’m still a big April Wine fan and always will be. Honestly, I think they still sound great.

I was a tadpole when April Wine were huge. Loved them. Wish I had seen them way back in the day. Triumph on the other hand Man I hope I get to see them.

I'm going to the show tonight in Winnipeg. I saw April Wine about a year ago and while they technically sounded great, it was very apparent they were missing their heart & soul in Myles

Seen April Wine before they made it big, they were always playing in Michigan and I thought they had the it factor.....opened with ooowhatanite, great memories.
