She thinks 1979 is old for an active warship? Nobody tell her how old some of our aircraft carriers are.

Vtubers reacting to lazerpig. What a time to be alive. Untapped market.

russian inspection protocols: if ship floats, good enough

Lazerpig now? lets fucking gooo.

Yeah, when the Moskva sank, EVERY news agency (Corporate, Indie, and Youtubers) were all over it the moment news broke of it's sinking. I remember when this had broke as well. The downside to a lot of current Russian equipment, is that most is just carryover's from it's Soviet Era, ranging from 60's to the 80's in some cases. watching the bit on the "UK evaluation report" part, i had to double take, as I know that kind of form personally, having been given MANY in the Army lol, It's a DA Form 4856, otherwise known as the Developmental Counseling Form. A lot of the military forms are honestly able to be googled because they are Unclassified
there was almost a "really bad day" a while ago in terms of Nuclear Power Plants, the Zaporizhzhya NPP had been disconnected from external power, leaving it to use it's diesel generators. Which if the fuel ran out of the generators, it would have caused a meltdown, thankfully they were able to reconnect.
Russia has been buying not just ammo from NK, but they even bought some of their artillery pieces too.
Their other "pride" was the Admiral Kuznetsov, their Aircraft carrier that needed a compliment of tugboats to get it too and from it's location. It was not a good ship.

If you want to learn more about how Russia/Soviet Union sucks and has always.... I would recommend  History of Everything.
He even has a series on how the Russian Navy has always sucked.
Humorous and informative. He and Lazerpig have done a few contributions to each's videos.

Perfect timing! Russia just finally admitted Ukraine sank the Moskva in the last day or two, joining everyone else. Lazerpig makes great videos for reactions!
Oh, and Lazerpig is very, very Scottish. JackSepticEye is very, very Irish.

Oh lazer pig a good choice

What you forget is that the Russian culture is such that factory owners back in Soviet times were shot for not reporting positive developments so after a time they decided that in order to not to be shot they must report that everything is normal, but the normal situation was the previous unsatisfactory situation, minus the shooting. the situation has not changed for the better so everybody is keeping up the charade and if someone is sounding alarm bells, they soon find out how strong are the upper floor windows.

I remember when news broke that the Moskva sank that people were joking that it was sunk by a swordfish torpedo bomber, which was pretty funny.

Jack's Irish, Pig's Scottish.

It's... complicated - They're not the same, but the Scots arrived from Ireland about 2000 years ago (displacing the native Picts), and the native languages are siblings within the same branch of a language family (Welsh & Cornish are the other branch, and English is from a different family within the same "super-family"). However, as with everything in the British Isles, everyone hates being mistaken for each other; so no, not the same place.

Potential History is also very good with "meme history"

LazerPig is a great mix of informative and silly, with bonus points for tangents.

Lazerpig isn't a piggy! He's a majestic pig! :D

3:50 Well it can be done. After all, we did it in the Pacific.🤔

25:33 possible that they don’t confirm casualties so that they can deny compensation and lower casualty rates look good for the press

Just leaving a comment for the sake of engagement. Love you videos Tippy.

24:16 It's not just that they can't call for back-up, they can't even contact parts of their own ships. Lazerpig said that the Engineering Section (which is where generally the engine of the ship is) can't conctact the Bridge Section (which is the brain of the ship since that is where all of the commanding people are).

During peace sons bury fathers; during war fathers bury sons.
