Disrespect by a teacher is never acceptable.

As a "teacher???"  She is an example of what "NOT" to be.

This makes me sick of how ignorant some people can be‼️That teacher should be fired  ‼️

The teacher should be fired for this act

The teacher needs to be fired. Watching from Houston TX.

NEVER apologize for your lived truth.

Shame on the teacher.  This kind of thing should never happen in the United States of America, not to mention in the classroom, OR just any where on earth.  SHAME !!

Wtf -- 😢.  Bless this kid 🙏  respect to you dad for fighting for our country.

A human who judges another based only on the color of their skin is a un evolved  individual. d

No child should have that experience. Period!

I’m in Indianapolis Indiana. I’m also a Navy brat so I understand moving about. I heard about a military brat who started school late in the year. He was asked to introduce himself. He was asked where he was born. He said Japan. The teacher challenged his response and asked again. When she got the same answer she sent him to the principals office. Can you imagine how she felt when she realized he was actually born in Japan? How foolish

I am an Air Force Brat. This is why we as kids at times didn't deal with "the civies" often

So proud of the young man keeping his cool!

Realistic story.
The disrespect is real.
It is up to us to stand up for each other each and every day.
No matter your race, creed or color- we are deserve respect.

My daughter and son in law are both retired United States Air Force Colonels., and I enjoyed this story.

Unfortunately, it happened to my daughter in middle school regarding a paper she wrote about her great-grandfather serving in the military; I immediately called a meeting with the school board, and the teacher was removed from the school. It wasn't the way my daughter was dressed it was simply her ethnicity.

Humiliation Was Heaped On All Of Us Who Were Black In The 60s &  70s  Racism Is Everywhere Then &  Now

I applaud the four star general and his son for standing up to the University.  We need more people sticking up for their rights!   What a wonderful story.  A lot of teachers should learn from this experience.

This  student  wrote  an incredible  true essay
