Dave , thanks so much. My dad passed away 8 year’s ago . My mom right now is in palliative care in Toronto Canada. My parents are originally from Madeira. Seniora Dora reminds me of my mom. Thanks for this video. I’m crying watching it.

Loved the video. That lady at the bar is the typical welcoming Madeirense and Portuguese.  Next you have to hit my native land: the Azores.

Love your videos Dave, you are now one of ours, you are now portuguese! Glad to have you showing our beautiful country to the world! Thank you for your love for Portugal ❤

not only is your Portuguese and pronunciation getting better, but i also see you becoming more and more Portuguese yourself, cheers Dave and awesome video

This guy needs to get a medal of honour and valor from Marcelo.

For 15 years we visit Madeira every year if possible and still we discover every time something new! Love the food, love the people, love the Island❣️🙏

Woww Dave, your portuguese accent is 💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I think this has been my favourite video of yours to date! Fantastic. Can we expect some future episodes in the Açores, in particular Pico Island?

Dave, i have been following your channel since the beggining, so as a Madeiran, i have to tell this " ahhh sê caralhe... é assim que se come espetada caralhe??? Espetada come-se com pão barrado com manteiga d'alho "

You really know how to make a travel video ! Showing the local people with respect and making us fall in love with the idea of travelling  there ! Obrigado ! ❤🇵🇹🙏🏻

Senhora Dora is such a sweetheart! ❤ I love her energy. Wonderful video Dave, it's giving Bourdain vibes.

My wife is from is from Santo Antonio, just north of Funchal. The island is perfection!  Great food, nice people, low crime rate….we dream of moving there one day. Squatters have rights there and she lost an old family home after leaving it unattended.  I think you can move the squatters but have to provide housing for a year. Lesson learned!  Nice video

Peixe espada is great :finger-red-number-one: when I was a kid i usually picked it when eating out if I could, and I still remember that when I went to madeira 20+ years ago it was my 1st meal choice there and it did not disappoint. Nostalgic video for me, thanks Dave.

Dave thanks, Merdeira is on my next cruise! Your channel is great for making all Portugal has to offer for us mortal’s to experience! Boa muito!

Love this content, hope to visit❤watching from Zambia 🇿🇲🇿🇲

I absolutely love lapas and bolo de caco! Loads of garlic and fresh lemon - I'm salavating here. You've made me want to return to the island just for a serving (or two) of those! And a poncha or few

Your videos of Madeira are amazing my guy, i love how you spoke to the locals. Im from Madeira and can't tell you how much joy it brings me to see other people from different parts of the world enjoy this beautiful island.

I Love your channel!! I'm from mainland Portugal and planning to live in Madeira for a while as digital nomad!

Hello! I hope life in Madeira is treating you well! My husband and I just discovered your channel and are hooked on your fantastic vlogs and subscribed. We appreciate the insider information about the area you featured; it's like a professional documentary with a real guide.

The restaurants you featured look amazing and bring back great memories from our travels. The song Deslocado by Napa is just heartwarming. Congratulations!
