to me it sounds like she faced consequences for the first time ever and threw a fit

Honestly her going and getting a haircut when she's sick is a whole other issue. If you're sick, reschedule. That's not fair to the hair stylist and everyone else in the salon who might have to lose business if they get sick and have to take time off. That's so rude.

If she is so anxious about being late to places, and if she had done as much research as she said she did. How did she not know the salon was in a mall? How did she not know?

I think the issue is she’s not 2 minutes late, she’s 17 minutes late

And then to be surprised that her stylist wouldn’t want to be late for her next client because SHE was late is wiiiilldddddddddd

I’m not saying it doesn’t stink for her, I would be disappointed too!  I’m just saying you’re in a massive city and the correct thing to do is to pick the prettiest salon that’s taking walk ins and have your relaxing day anyway 😂

And maybe consider also that you caused the stylist to miss out on money too

its not the fact that she's upset its the fact that she is going OUT OF HER WAY to blame anything and anyone but herself. she lives in LA. she knows the traffic. she knows the trains. the stylist was kind enough to give her a consultation and didn't have time for what she wanted. SHE was late. she was late before she even got in her car. her APPOINTMENT was 11. the GRACE PERIOD the PERIOD OF KINDNESS they give you to be late. you were late for. your appointment no longer exists.

Ive always found it weird how people tend to bring little issues like this onto the internet and turn it into a whole thing

Danky she’s not two minutes late.. the grace period, 15 minutes, is already INCREDIBLY generous for a hairdresser or really ANY service provider.  And she was later than the grace period. At that point she really has no reason to be angry. Plus her saying she “doesn’t have another day off” is ridiculous, she’s a content creator

How easy it would’ve been for her to just say “I’m having a bad day cause I was late and because of that I couldn’t get my hair cut” And that be the end of it.

honestly, my thing is you are late if you arrive within the grace period.  the grace period exists so that you can be a little late for traffic and a broken garage elevator, and still get your haircut.  if you are "just 2 minutes" after the 15 minute grace period, you are not 2 minutes late, you are 17 minutes late.  if the hairdresser allowed for every client to get a cut 5 minutes after the grace period ends, they may as well just have a 20 minute grace period, but then someone showed up "just 2 minutes late" after the grace period.  I know if I had an appointment to get my hair done and I didn't show up within the grace period, I wouldn't expect to even be sat down, let alone given a consultation.  it's just the level of entitlement.

Her stylist wasnt just "giving her hope" when she sat her down, brushed her hair, and asked what she wanted done. Her stylist wss probably thinking of letting it slide until she saw the inspo picture and then realized she wouldnt have enough time with her being 17 minutes late and her next client being at 12:30pm. Her stylist had to know what she wanted to know if she would have time to let being that late slide. Quality hair cuts take time, especially depending on what she wanted.

A few important things. I am pretty sure the response to her review was that she was actually in at 11:20 and she’s a streamer. She can make her own hours. She also said “fuck you” to the stylist and the place so I don’t feel bad. AND PUT THE SALON NAME AND LOCATION ONLINE! She wanted to put them on blast because she felt entitled and it flipped on her. And she kept changing the times! She was like “only 2 minutes” when it was four and then she got called out and she said “well it might’ve only been at max 4”. I don’t trust her.

she lost allllllll respect and empathy when she said she was sick and still going to get her hair cut. STAY HOME????? why do people insist on doing this??
(this doesn’t apply to people who have to work while sick. as much as i hate it, i understand the economic crisis we are in right now and that people simply cannot afford to take off from work unless they fancy having their power shut off or not being able to buy groceries for the month. this judgement is specifically on her because this haircut is NOT a necessity)

How is it not a quick explanation? I live in LA. I went to get my haircut, the traffic was bad and I didn’t know it was in a mall, so I was too late to get my hair done even though I felt like she could’ve made enough time.

That’s the explanation! It’s not a quick explanation when you have to make yourself look good to explain it

She was 20 minutes late

Brooke sharks mention yayyy

0:20 Brooksharks mentioned!!

Dankyjabo you really be reading that chat too much and they rarely have any useful advice on anything they’re just typing to type 😭. Like they legitimately never have any idea what’s going on when you read them and some of them are acting like you’re their device and want you to change your settings when they just need to adjust their volume or check their router lol

Holy shit i knew someone like this. This is the result of parents coddling their children and giving them nothing but praise (even for bad behavior). She would throw tantrums and bite and scratch her ex bf when she didn’t get her way. She cried for everything, yet bullied other women. She used neurodivergence as an excuse. This girl really reminds me of her, just extremely entitled and self absorbed.. i dont get how they just go through life like this forever even into their mid 20s wtf

16:12 what? no. the 15 minute was the max. with that logic, you could keep pushing and say "well i was only 5/10 minutes past when you said I could come in" but you are essentially now nearly half an hour past your original appointment time. Why the heck should the next person be forced to wait that extra 15-20-25+ minutes?

And besides, 1) the stylist DID let her sit down and only after realizing that the client's tardiness has cut into the appointment time to a point where it would affect the quality of the work and the next client's experience, did she make her reschedule; 2) my GOD this was all so nothing-burger and dumb as SHIT. did the diary factory explode? girl. text your friend about it and say 'damn I was stupid and left late and now I have to reschedule my hair appointment, shoot"

as someone who works in a salon, it isn't "just do the haircut, it's a few minutes after the grace period". it's being late for your next client (who could also have things to do after their cut, or who might not be as forgiving, etc etc etc), which snowballs into being late for the one after them, and then it keeps going. it also means not having any chance at a lunch break, not giving your best performance because you feel rushed, potentially having to work after close. i understand her frustration, sure, but it really was entirely on her. you miss your appointment, then you don't have an appointment, period. she said she booked it way in advance, so why didn't she make plans to leave way earlier??????
