Matt, thank you for reigniting my passion for photography. In 1989 I bought my first Leica M4-2 with the 28/2.8 elmarit. Throughout the years I had the privilege to own three more Leicas and on April the 7th my fifth Leica arrived. This time I'm keeping this M3 and my lenes. Keep the passion. I'm listening.

Hi Mat interesting stuff- my favourite accessories are the Leica thumb support and a soft release. Memory cards and spare batteries are pretty essential too :)

Thank you Matt for the great compilations of helpful tools for Leica! The L.D. rangefinder definitely caught my attention. I need to test it from you next time in London. I just saw online that Chi apparently is also releasing a version without labeling, a stealth one so to say. And if that works on my camera, it will definitely be mine!

Great video as always! I use the IDSworks Foldable Thumb Grip on my M10 and love it. Folds up nicely (and doesn’t poke me in the side when carrying my camera). I have the black bersion and it has brasses up nicely.

I got a viewfinder magnifier, which makes focusing the 90 a lot easier. Upon your recommendation, I might add ;-)

Aaaahhh yes, the romantic feeling of shooting a classic camera... requiring knowledge, skills and experience. Oh yeah... and a laser 🫣😅

Thank you Matt: good stuff as usual. It is ironic that the Leica cameras we love are so deficient that we need to add accessories ?! On the other hand, the opportunity to customise them is a joy, and a larger problem for sufferers of G A S.. I use the IDSWorks Grip/Base. Looks similar to your Kameracraft, including the battery/card access/Arca tripod mount, but looks like the base might be more shallow. I wish that Hugh would make an M10 Grip, so that the incorporated thumb grip would free up the hot shoe for the EVF (because I also like to use an accessory thumb grip).
