The song and video are about Jade's love/hate relationship with the music industry and how she got into music because it had always been her dream (hence the clips of her singing as a child and auditioning for X Factor), but once she got into the industry she saw it for how nightmarish it can be (ruthless, tearing other women down to be on top, getting intimate with powerful men to succeed, etc.). She also calls out Simon Cowell and his label SYCO specifically with the lyric 'selling my soul to a psycho'. It's an amazing and very bold debut! Can't wait to hear the album

The different Jades are replacing each other, showing the fickle nature of the industry.
The blonde Jade is obviously a huge pop star, until the man spots brunette Jade singing and leaves the blonde on the side of the street.
Brunette Jade is then forced to watch when redhead Jade shows up to replace her just as quick

I genuinely don’t know how people don’t grab the concept within the first 40 seconds. Lol. She did a flawless job at the storytelling , concept clear as day and executed perfectly.

The Matts not getting a video concept…..groundbreaking

Yes Jade has always been a big supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. She said this song is about her journey and the love/hate relationship she has with the industry and she didn’t want to play it safe for her first single and wanted people to be shocked at the song. The video is amazing every time you rewatch there’s a new detail to notice.

She's got talent, charisma, personality, a clear vision, a distinct take and understanding of pop music. I see a STAR there. Go off Jade!

It’s the greatest debut of the decade

(Also the giant guy with the Gucci suit is Simon Cowell, the storyline of the video revolves around the highs and lows of her experience with the music industry)

Jade mentioned the album is being mixed and mastered. So it’s like 99.9% done

I LOVE it, if any of the Little Mix girls is able to compete with the Charli XCXs and DojaCats and ChappellRoans, that one is Jade...she was always my favorite, she was the fashion-forward, the visual one and the campy girl...she's a true popstar

The song is a bop, the video is art. I'm a fan of Jade since two days ago.

I love the song. It did have to grow on me though. I love how Jade didn’t play it safe for her first single. She’s said that it’s about her journey and relationship with the music industry, she loves it, but she also hates it. She also seems to put in a subtle did about Simon Cowell with the selling my soul to a psycho lyric - a clever play on words for his syco record label.

That man is so Simon Cowell lol

Matt not clocking the Mariah reference is my Roman Empire 😭

Leigh Anne has also being putting out single after single. She had a 2nd and 3rd single. The dropped an EP titled No Hard Feelings. Would love for y’all to check that out

Imagine a full album of Jade vocals

She’s the next huge pop star

Album out very soon 🥳🥳

I think maybe the big man represents the whole music industry, with all the control they have, big hands, etc. Sure, for her it started with Simon, but it's more than that.
The first time she screams is because she's being replaced by another girl. And the scene where she gets attacked, it looks like (from the hair) it's the old Jade who's been replaced.
And the part where she dances all bruised and hurt, it seems to me that even though she was bruised and broken, she didn't give up.
The part I didn't understand is that the ginger Jade (chewing gum) next to the big man looks like the angel Jade doing the coreo.

I love all the mixturinhas ❤ but Jade has always been my favorite member, since the X Factor days. I always thought she was more artistic and in all the official videos, live performances, interviews, I couldn't take my eyes off her 😍 for me she meets all the requirements for a successful pop star: talent, personality, charisma, beauty, presence, game waist, man!! Jade always seemed to me to be the most determined in the style she wanted and her influences, in addition to her and her team having market vision, she knew how to create hype, engaged on social media, etc., at the same time, she has a lot of self-knowledge, She knows what the industry expects from her, but she also knows what she wants, and she showed it very well in this song/video! 'Angel Of My Dreams' is what I needed at that moment and I found it very authentic, how could I not love this woman, she is perfect and deserves all the success that comes her way!!👑🔥👏🏼

Love that you get the Bad Romance ref
