I don’t know why but the ending with the Lorax just makes me cry. The way Danny delivers his line really sells how proud he is. Imagine living your whole life with all that regret and you get a chance to fix your mistakes.

The Onceler is a Loki variant.

"Only when the last tree has been cut down, the last fish been caught, and the last stream poisoned, will we realize we cannot eat money."

Cree Native American Proverb

The fish are harmonizing because they're hummingfish. And no, they are NOT supposed to be able to walk around on dry land at this point in the story. They're supposed to do that when the water becomes so polluted they can't live there anymore.

The way The Once-ler could’ve just shaved off bits of the fluff from the top of the trees and kept his supply going on FOREVER but he just chopped down the WHOLE thing for the fluff at the top just showed how bad of a business man he was 😭

So, there is actually a song that was replaced for "How Bad Could I Be", which is said to be darker, but was cut for reasons. Could be a fun mini reaction.

@MrWaspman 1 year ago

"How Bad Can I Be?" Is a good song, but I wish they had kept "Biggering" instead. That would've been a masterpiece. Also, Danny DeVito was perfect for the Lorax's voice.

“I’m gonna eat this. But I’m Highly offended by it” is a monthly quote I use when my man gets me snacks 😂 I love this movie, it was perfect for my kids it’s modern but the message is the same. Blind consumption and greediness does the world no good, and the ending is amazing ❤

The “Pizza Chain” sequence was replaced by “Parking Lot” in the Thneedville song. Wish they would’ve included this in a second verse of the opening song. The rest of the songs in here are catchy especially “Let it Grow”.

I remember the original made me cry as a young child.

I loved this movie. I know there was a lot of negative reviews but I've watched it so many times.

I saw a version of the song on yt where all the towns people sing let it die to o’hare it was so creepy everyone just menacingly walking towards him saying let it die

@videohistory722 1 year ago

I'm not saying this movie is better than people think by any means, but can we all just agree on something:

The scene where the last tree fell was the best scene in the movie. It has all the same impact that the original animated short did and then some.

What I love about the Lorax character is that his power isn’t in magic, it’s morality.

24:47 Well there is this company called Boost Oxygen that sells canned air. It's mainly sold at ski resorts or places at higher altitude to help people regain oxygen levels, since the air is thinner up there.
