Very cool video from the Canary Islands. I "As Always" almost licked my screen when I saw the Guirlache and other baked goods in the case. Thank you for sharing the vital history of the area, as well as those who roamed the area during an important time in our world. Vegueta and Triana look really appealing, and it would surely be another addition to our "Must See" list. :). Thank you for sharing your adventure, Lee & Betty. :)

One of the best things is always the food. I love to watch the markets, their variation of sea food and vegetables in southern countries. And I love to try local products in France, Spain, Italy and Greece.

Ah, Las Palmas. Memories. I was there as a kid in 1971. Haven't been back since. Always something in the way when I wanted to go. I mostly took vacation only in jan -feb and it was often bad weather there then. Or other things happened. A tour guide works the summer! And a waiter in the fall and Christmas. Planned to go 2021 at last and do a 50 years anniversary trip. But then the second wave of covid happened. And it's complicated to get there from US. Either via Madrid from Miami or via Scandinavia, Germany, England with one of the charter airlines. But I remember Las Canteras, the beautiful beach in town that resembles Copacabana in Rio. And the Catalina park where I had my first 7up. It was heavenly. Not available in Sweden back then. And we also went on tour to the desert at Maspalomas. There weren't many hotels down there in those days. And we went to a famous "pig party"and ate whole suckling. Well, parts of it....parents drank wine. Didn't happen very often, we had a gas station and work shop which was open every day from 7-7.

Great to see you guys enjoyed Las Palmas. I really like the city, it‘s beautiful and full of enchanting hidden corners, yet manages to be unpretentious and remain truly Canarian. The market hall is a gem showcasing the impressive variety of tropical fruits grown on the islands, and every Thursday evening La Vegueta turns into one big tapas lover‘s paradise on the Noche de Tapas. Las Canteras Beach in the modern part of the city is great too, not just for beach lovers. Can‘t wait to see more of your island adventure in one of my top five happy places! As always thanks for sharing!
PS: how can your stomachs not be big enough for some pastries after all the practice you had touring Christmas markets?!? 🤣

Your tags are a bit too general right now they cover the topic but not the exact search behavior adding more specific long tail phrases usually helps YouTube target the right audience and improves overall performance
