Some of those older comments are insane. You can clearly tell this guy is planning through turns and able to strategize/recognize lethal/figure out chump blocking in a pinch. He's picking this up with 0 prior knowledge or reading/watching about the game. I've seen new players who don't even intuit that they attack first.

Jake very obviously showed some strategy here and with some familiarity with the mechanics/sigils he would be rolling this game easy. Also like the voice work! Gonna have to watch the rest over the next few days.

The game, 40 minutes in and still politely and patiently suggesting a right click on the sigil: 🙃

During the second prospecter fight, when he killed the mule I said "Dag nab it" to myself, and then laughed when the prospecter said it too

"I'm not gonna read that. I don't read the instructions."
(misses an enormous piece of information)

Him struggling to pronounce menagerie made me die. Good luck pronouncing Leshy’s fancy talk, seriously. He’s a little too fancy for us. DMs man, they’re crazy.

One of my personal favorite combinations early on, was Porcupine and Adder. Touch of death to kill cards instantly, and thorns to do, 1 damage. Heres the thing, upon combining the two together, if something strikes it, it returns 1 damage, touch of death then activates to instantly kill the aggressor, paired with some health buffs...

42:08 this play, this especially hurt to see

Also 44:05 rulebook: 2 7 3
Atrocious: got it, 2 3 7 write that down

your reaction to prospector striking all the cards you struggled to get on the board made me laugh really hard

what that weird block out thing that happen at 42:31 happens when you complete a painting puzzle. you place the cards it wants you to in the same spots and it make the game a bit easier. you happened to accidently complete the puzzle and you got the clover because of it

When inscryption came out, I decided to try it after watching gameplay. It’s honestly one of my favorite games even though I had never played many card games. I genuinely find the simplicity with the mechanics to help be really easy to get invested in it. I’d usually see long descriptions for cards in like Magic or something which just made me disinterested. So when Inscryption had just general rules to sigils and sacrificing cards it felt so unique and I loved it

on my first playthrough i had a no blood cost, 6 attack 14 health death card with the unkillable and fledling sigils

i had a moose buck that went to a mycologist, a geck, and an unkillable mothman

3:42 (me, a seasoned Inscryption player:) "don't be. He deserves it. If anything, do it more."

Honestly its rather interesting to watch this game played from the perspective of a pro TCG player

as a casual scrub i don't think too deeply into my moves, especially with inscryption, i just roll with what i'm given, but a pro tcg player however lol

like he 'instantly' gravitated toward doing 'just enough damage to win' instead of going overkill, and only after he's learned the basics does he go for overkill, but he still carefully examines 'each' move thinking "okay he's going to do this next turn, and when this happens it will have this effect on me so i needa get this done this turn or else i'm at risk here

Another Challenger approaches...
I remember when I finally finished this game, it's nice to see a new face. Something to bear in mind, this game can get really nuts with the sigils, and even some card combinations, a LOT of things go well together by the way. Placing the Black goats worthy sacrifice sigil on a cat, or the other way around, gives you a creature you can "infinitely" get 3 cost cards on the board for instance.

Great video, but the fact that you increased the strength of the creature that always one shots hurt my soul

"Unless I can make my nugget fly" is the funniest thing I have heard all day xD

@proscons6345 2 years ago

Crazy how you actually guessed the code for the safe in advance but in the wrong order

@hard-corey01 5 months ago

Literally everybody brute forces that puzzle cabinet instead of actually learning what the new sigils mean, lol.

I Love this game and this playthrough, but him at first not seeing the safe code in the rule book, putting damage up on a one hit snake etc. made me crack up. Love this
