Hello! When I make journals I really want the papers to hold up to lots of messy journaling therefore, I choose papers based on the weight, finish, and age. Some papers are best for collage while others are the workhorses of the journal - the pages.
Last week I went thrifting for some papers to put into my #junkjournal
In this video I will show you what I found and how I intend to use them.

I love that I’m not the only one who gets sooo excited about paper!! And yes all those graphics squares and shapes are so fun to use or even punch out different shapes to use in journals. To use as backgrounds or tag toppers etc !! Love all the books you got! Makes me want to go start playing!! Yay!! Thanks for sharing! And can’t wait to see how you use these! 😊

Always upcycle books when possible. I’m a retired librarian and I can tell you first hand that books got thrown in the dumpster all the time. We used to get lots of donations for Friends of the Library sales and what didn’t get sold got thrown out. Of course, not before I got a look at them!

What a haul! The Kelly Creates brand tablet 5:34 is designed for practicing brush lettering with brush markers. The paper is ultra smooth so that the pen nibs won’t fray (quickly) when you write on it.

I’m totally excited, I splurged £45 on 11 volumes of the encyclopaedia Britannica. The best bit is they’re the third edition dating from 1797, antique laid rag paper. I found them at a local vintage/junk/antique shop. It’s only 4 miles from my house. I’m in England, thanks for your video ❤❤❤
