Brand new here myself, fab wee chanel and love your happy vibes. Great to see more than just the "young ones" on here.

Aww have been following for a few months and been looking forward to this first trip for you. Inspired!❤

Thanks so much for taking us along for your conversion and your overnight test day. Watching you from Florida

The skylight looks a real game changer. Take care Gill

Lovely to see you go out in Dottie 2 Bev, it was a good test run giving you an idea of your space and how you might want to set her up. You looked so relaxed and in your happy place. A good secure campsite I know we shouldn't have to worry about safety but sadly it is reality. Looking forward to further adventures as the build progresses. Have a good week. ♥

Bonding time with Dottie 2 😍

Congratulations on your maiden campout in Dottie #2! 🎉

What a lovely relaxing break ,it does the heart good to get away even with the most basic set up , you will have lots of room when the bed is positioned transverse. Nice gentle post ...thank you for sharing.....Harry

I go off in my van on my own for 1 nighters and I love them too. You have a lovely way about you. I can really relate. Liked, subscribed and hyped.

That looked wonderful! ~ Caitlin xx

That field looks fantastic, when I get something I can stop out in I’ll have to find similar.

Hi, Jackie,, here from the Texas panhandle in the USA. I just finally sold my camper van after multiple mechanical issues. It became a real money pit. I haven’t decided exactly what I’m going to do. But I have an SUV that needs to have some brake work done on it that type of thing, but I think I’m gonna camp for a little while in that while I decide exactly what I’m going to do. I am looking at small trailers That are basically hollowed out and you build the inside of the trailer how you want it. And that could save me quite a bit of money since I want things done simply anyway. After all the complicated things were constantly breaking down in the van. But it comes all insulated, and the only thing it really has in. It is an air conditioner and outlet to plug the air conditioner in when you’re at shore power there’s no other electrical thing in it, which is fine because I have several portable large size solar generators or power banks they’re called. And so I don’t think power is going to be an issue for me. It’s just got one window and then a door with a screen door and it’s very lightweight. I can pull it with the SUV as long as I don’t build it too heavily on the inside. So I’m kind of considering doing that or looking for an an ultra light used already built trailer That is used. But right now the market here in the United States is still pretty high for trailers. But a lot of the people that bought RVs during the pandemic are now starting to get rid of them and they really didn’t even hardly use them so I think if I give it just a few more months I might possibly come across a good deal so that’s kind of my plan. We’ll see how it goes. The company that makes my power banks also makes a portable air conditioner with his own power bank in it and I can use the DC to DC charger that’s built into my SUV and use that to keep that air conditioner charged but it also comes with solar panels, but I don’t think that’s gonna keep up with that air conditioner I just don’t believe it, but I’ve tried air conditioner and it works pretty good in the small space that that trailer would be and I could use it when I was off grit so I had tried one that the dealer allowed me to try overnight and I really liked it so I have that on my list I think I’m going to purchase that. I take my two small dogs with me and they won’t be able to go into everywhere that I stop. So I need to keep the climate inside of the camper comfortable and safe for them. So that’s why I wanna do that. When I was in the van, it was no trouble. It had an automatic on and off and if the temperature inside of the vangot too high or too cold it automatically started turning on the climate control system, so I mean there were positive to all the fancy stuff in there. But it just broke down all the time. So this is gonna be a simple build I think.

Looks like a fabulous campout Bev! And a great tutorial for me, too! 😜 I love the camping stove set-up, I’ve been looking at those possibilities for Celeste. Might take a trip to our local camping store - I have a birthday voucher 😃 Looks like a beautiful site ☺️🌸

A very successful shake down at a relaxing site. I had a camp on the driveway, trying to get the dog used to the van - it was really cold in the night for June. Next week will be 32 degrees, bonkers! X

Yay! Out in Dottie for your first solo adventure!!  How exciting! I always forget things when I travel in my car for BBQ’s/ picnics: I have made a list now, and add things to it as and when I forget bits and bobs

Looks super cosy. My van Birdie is going down to Sussex to be converted tomorrow. So excited 💚

wonderful video and congrats on your first trip but PLEASE, for your safety, take the jet boil pot OFF the burner before you pour.
