The deep cut at the beginning about Rikki Tikki Tavi shows that Ricky and I are of an age. We were shown that movie (and my 9 year old self thought it was damn good) at LEAST twice a year in grade school.

Apparently God didnt feel that the development of the atom bomb in the early 1940s was very "wicked." Dude has certainly chilled out over the years.

To save money (I can't think of any other reason) my Elementary school in Central BC hired American missionaries as teachers (They got their monies worth). I was punished for using the Devil's math to calculate the volume of the Ark, which turned out to be smaller than the school. Dad, a highways engineer, received a promotion and we moved to Victoria, where there were libraries and book stores, and very few Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses.

He should have mentioned how the penguins had to walk back to Antarctica.

As a fan of smart, snarky comedy, I have loved Ricky Gervais for 2 decades. As a concerned scientist, I applaud him for bringing logic, reason and facts onto the stage and (hopefully) into the public discourse.
