The Tipsy Trio should clink the top of their glasses together like they’re doing a toast, that’d be cool.

I think Ribby and Croaks deserve a bit of credit, their intro animations are based on Ryu and Ken's taunts from Third Strike, it might be bland, but it's a reference, so I'd put it a bit higher

16:25 it’s because she was already dressed for the wedding scene and switched to normal clothes to actually fight you

14:05 I’ve fought this dragon so many times and I’m just now finding out Grim does his intro with his wings not hands

1. Mangosteen was based off of Melon Bread from gunstar heroes, thus his name being fruit related
2. the Tipsy troop had an unused animation concept where they would be regular glasses before spinning around and becoming the troop
3. Yes, I am a Cuphead nerd

1:39 to be fair I think its a good thing that the boat doesnt have an animation. It definitely catches you of gaurd when the boat starts attacking.

1:30 this was THE first boss ever made so it makes sense to not be the best

I can see King Dice putting the Tipsy Trio down one at a time.

Calling the creative team of master animators, designers and developers too lazy is crazy work. This is one of, if not the best art direction a video game has ever had, and I think you were too negative towards the first half of the video. Some bosses are simple, and thus have simple intros. For example, Esther Winchester’s short intro conveys her personality very well in those few moments.

12:33 Rumor Honeybottoms clicks the silverware together as a reference to Q. Bee from the Darkstalkers games. That character is the leader of a hive of soul-eating bees, and one of her victory animations has her and her hive clinking silverware together, cuz they want to eat the defeated foe.

Just one of many references to other video games in Cuphead.

18:04 Cagney's also foreshadows how many of their attacks are done by his distorted face the gun and the face screen attack... no clue what to call/describe it

5:37 I would cut these two some slack. They're both references to ryu and ken and that's their SF2 taunts (hence the hadouken)

Something I'd like to bring up is that the Tipsy Troop DID have fully completed intro animations of them turning from basic drinkware and then slowly morphing faces and legs, but it's just... Not implemented for some reason. They're animations were finished, colored, scanned, inked, they're all properly viewable in the files and on the wiki, but are either not called in due to an error or were cut for some bizarre reason.

Another tid-bit is that Ribby and Croaks intros are direct riffs on Street Fighter's Ryu and Ken's taunts. (Although the entire fight is a big love letter to Street Fighter, so it's not really a surprise)

What is a surprise with their intro being another Street Fighter nod is Sally's intro, which is referencing Urien from Street Fighter 3: Second Impact.

Speaking of fighting game references, Honeybottoms' intro is a reference to Q-Bee, a fighter in Darkstalkers 3 who also clinks a fork and knife together.
