As someone with about a 1000 hours in this game, I am happy to see that you actually made the full set of primitive armor. A lot of people forget to do that. I am also happy that you are following the challenges since that is basically the only tutorial this game has. And don't worry, since you specifically said you didn't want comments explaining stuff, I will say nothing. π
I wish I could play this game again for the first time! Love your "Learn by playing the game" philosophy. So many people just run to reddit before they even start and miss out on the fun of exploration.
I've been playing this for over a decade now, it's a really good game with amazing replayability. Every update changes it just enough to be worth doing a run, and multiplayer is also super fun. I personally enjoyed older alphas (a16 being the best), but the game runs muchhh better now I cant go back. Great video!
The standard bandage is for stopping bleedingβa first-aid item that heals you. Every night at 10 PM, the danger level rises, and all the zombies start running. You can either find a house and live in the atticβdon't forget to destroy the stairs and access pointsβor build your own base. On Day 7, zombies will attack from 10 PM until morning. Good luck.
I don't want to really give you advice on playing the game per your request. I will say that it is advantageous to look at the tips on the loading screen. So much info for the new players. The other thing I'd say is check recipes on items, you never know what's handy.
Eyy, Nice that u follow the Challenges! Yeah this game doesn't explain a whole lot to beginners except those challenges. I have 1.000+hours in this game and its always nice to sometimes return to this game when it gets a update. Goodluck and have funπ
Playing the game blind without following any guide is the best stuff to watch on Youtube... for me at least. I love to watch blind playthroughs among all other videos.
Iβve talked with you in a few live streams and Iβm really glad you didnβt let the whole Project Zomboid situation stop you from branching out and trying other games. At the end of the day just play what YOU enjoy brother. The real ones are here for you and your personality, not just one game. Keep doing your thing man, love the content and great video. β
I really appreciate your dedication to figuring out the game in the game. This game doesn't hold your hand much, so the more you figure out the more rewarding it will be. I hope you keep uploading videos of this journey!
Your instincts are so much better than mine when I first played this game. If you're enjoying it, there's a lot to do and you will learn something new every time you play. And when you get better at the game the sandbox options allow you to crank the difficulty up a LOT more. Been playing since 2014 and it's one of the only games I come back to consistently.
I really appreciate from watching your gameplay that you are not sweating trying to optimize a game you are playing blind, and that you are the type who is fine with learning via experimentation and unafraid of failure (even with an audience!). I do hope you take a closer look at what the bandages stat-block actually says soon and that you figure out where honey comes from and why it's important (because you're unlikely to guess based on using real-world logic, but I do think they outright tell you in one of the first-page challenges. Anyway, subbing for more of this!
