I, for one, purchased Bryce's recipes. I used to feed my dog homemade food but when his hair started falling out, I found Bryce. I wasn't adding enough, if any, nutrients. Following his homemade recipes, his hair is growing back. Each dog is different. I haven't seen a homemade dog food channel that adds the nutrients that he does. His recipes have been approved by a vet nutritionist. Yes, it may be expensive but I have found it is cheaper than some of the so called "good" kibble.
I have 3 dogs to feed. The expense of using all homemade meals for them is just cost prohibitive . I am making the beef and chicken meals and mixing in a higher quality kibble to extend the ingredients. Been feeding my 14 yr old only homemade recipe for 10 months and she no longer has chronic diarrhea (of which the vet thought her days were numbered because of suspected cancer) That was a year ago! She has been hale and hearty for the past 2 months.
Thank you for the recipe! I'm looking forward to cooking it for my 14.5-year-old lab/retriever. Since I changed her food from processed dried dog foods to human-grade food, she has lost weight, which is a good thing, and is doing great. 🐾❤️🥰
I have mastiffs (145#) and GSD rescues. I can't afford to feed homemade only meals at 8 cups + a day. I tried this and would cook 3 weeks worth and freeze. It was costly and on fixed income became impossible. I now mix feed high end kibbles and supplement with the ingredients in this video along with probiotics, moringa, flaxseed, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger and more variety each meal. Dogs are doing great.
Wow, looks good .I can’t wait to make it.❤ yea, I’ll use glass storage too.. we don’t want those micro plastic cause illnesses on them. Their bodies are so much smaller too! That’ is surprisingly cost effective for 2 larger dogs. I’m just so happy that more and more people are becoming aware of the suffering comercial dog food ( if you can call it that) is causing !!! I have been feeding your way for over 20 years. These days, you can’t even trust “ human grade “ food. But it sure beats feeding them the cancer tumor flesh of the cows they use to make dogs food with! If people only knew what they were feeding their beloved pets! I hope your videos reach far and wide young man, keep up the good work!❤
I did it for years and it was a pain to get all the ingredients which weren’t cheap SO I found Four Leaf Rover’s Meat Mixer which takes out the guesswork and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg: $72 and lasts over a month for two large dogs.
I softly bake the egg shells, let them cool while my batch is cooking, then pulverize them to a fine powder, and at it at the end. Although, me recipe does not call for thos many eggs. Also, I don't add already cooked ingredients, like sardines, until the rest of the batch is cooked.
I make homemade dog food for my small breed. The cost for it is about 15.00 a month. But he eats about 1/2 cup per day with homemade or organic treats from the store. It's not expensive at all. After I use my instant pot with most ingredients I add the other stuff after the mixture cools. I measure out everything so I get about 6 weeks of food for my small breed.
Just watched a vet talk about vegetables that are good for dogs and one of the things he said should be limited because they can cause his Gastro upset is broccoli spinach and kale. Small amounts are fine but too much can cause distress.
My Vet said to cook rice. Add ground cooked meat, of whatever kind you choose, chicken, salmon cooked. I chose hamburger less fat. I added green beans low sodium, and carrots low sodium cooked. Added everything together and he scarfs it. 2x’s a week I add chopped apples tiny pieces to his bowls rotating the days. I make a Hugh bowl of it, it last about 5 days, 2x’s a day. It works for my budget. Snacks: bananas a few sections, small raw carrot pieces, pineapple chopped or jerky. I stay away from foods that would cause gas eruptions. If I happen to purchase dog food, because I was pressed, it has to have no junk in it,
Have you considered stacking a couple of days in one bowl? And divide it with parchment paper that way you could just lift out the layers as you need them
He’s right about the frozen veggies, I worked as a food broker when I was younger and in manufacturing. Frozen veggies and fruit are the units that are fully vine ripened at harvest and can’t make it to the shelves in time so they flash freeze them with liquid nitrogen on or near location, it’s the closest thing to vine ripened products you can get at the store. Flash freezing preserves almost everything it’s not like the the slow freezing process they used 20-30 years ago.
