Davey!

"All you need is some standard gear, one of them being a massive fucking helicopter. Very standard."- Davey

If there's ever a good kind of corrupt person, it would be someone like Dave Norton.

Imagine being Dave seeing Michael falling from the sky

Whoever voiced Dave did a phenomenal job

So i realized that Davey is also one of the most complex character. He's the kind of guy who see the world that is not black and white. he is willing to do a dirty job in order to keep things clean. and he doesnt use michael as a tool. in fact, he respects him enough and keep his promise by at the end of the game.

A small detail that just hit me after 10 years of this game: Michael and Trevor use nickname to avoid identity being exposed when doing jobs, but when Michael was first shot in the prologue, Trevor was so affectionate that he literally called his name out despite having possible pursuers nearby

1:16 seeing micheal and Dave having a genuinely nice conversation doesn’t look right

Davey sounds like my high school math teacher.

Notice how Mike's movements when Brad got shot. His reaction is delayed until he see Brad go down. And then improvises from that point. Look how he was staring at Trevor before the shot. Meaning he was waiting for Davey to shoot him.

Dave: To what do I owe this pleasure?

Micheal: Just want to talk.

Dave: You behaving yourself?

Micheal Stares at the damage he caused at Simeon’s dealership

Micheal: Of course.

1:10 “You behaving yourself?” “Of course!” as he stands in front of his most recent mid-life crisis carnage

1:10
Davey: “Are you behaving yourself?”
Micheal: “Of course”
slowly turns toward car he had driven trough a car dealership window

Very underrated character in my opinion, his actions were cold asf, his interactions were very interesting and his role in the story is fundamental

I'm glad the GTA community has unanimously decided that the only way to meet Dave at the observatory is by falling from the sky like a meteor

Huge missed opportunity to not include "DAVE NORTON. LEAVE A MESSAGE" at the end lol.

I love how during the standoff, everyone's holding their guns steady with two hands, but Dave held his one-handed in a lazy posture.

I love how the first and last times we hear Dave on the phone with Michael, the conversations are mirrors of each other. In the beginning of the game, Michael pretends like his life and family are good and Dave pretends his job is going well, but at the end of the game, they actually mean the things they say regarding those things.

21:09 has to be the most LEGENDARY moment of these three together.

Davey: "When is Michael gonna ge- is that a blimp?"
