This is the hardest I've ever worked on a video and frankly, I'm not happy with it. I re-shot the application footage over and over and over again because the lighting wasn't right. Itried using orange gels and diffuser fabrics on my window, shooting in only artificial lighting, shooting in my garage in front of a paper roll, shooting at 6am when the sun isn't too bright....nothing looked as good as the lighting in my old house. I've hired a company to help me design a studio so hopefully I will have great lighting soon!

To see arm swatches and comparisons of all of the shades, click on the "Lip Liner Swatches" highlight on my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17928578219873892/

Here are my top favorites that I wear most often!
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in pillow talk fair
Clio Velvet Lip Pencil in coffee brown
ColourPop Long-Lasting Lippie Pencil in cool bff
Em Cosmetics Soft Blur Velvet Lip Liner in mink
Fitglow Vegan Lip Liners in nude and buff
Glossier Lip Line in grip
Ilia Lip Sketch in rhyme (but as a lipstick, not liner)
Kosas Hotliner Contouring Lip Liner in mega and 100
L.A. Girl Long-Lasting Shockwave Lip Liner in mavue
Makeup by Mario Ultra Suede Lip Liner in smoky pink and dmitry
Mob Smooth Precision Lip Liner in 1990
NYX Slim Lip Pencil in mauve (my literal favorite color, but terrible formula)
Thrive Lip Filler Long-Wearing + Plumping Lip Liner in ghizlan
Tower 28 Beauty OneLiner in work of art and paint my number
Victoria Beckham Lip Definer in 02

Forget about the Library of Alexandria. THIS is the true concentrated source of humanity's collective knowledge.

Lord! The amount of work that went into this video is blowing my mind. Everyone should watch this video because it’s like the Bible for lip liners.

Girl we are not worthy! Your deep dives are so incredible. You described products so well and I appreciate all of the application and hand swatch b roll clips. I know these takes ages to begin with and having to redo so many times, we are so thankful

@ChloeS90 2 years ago

my favorite type of makeup review video - lots of products, STRAIGHT to the point, clear descriptions, not rambly but provides your opinion, great closeups, different lighting, I could go on.....THANK YOU.

@threadsketch7267 2 years ago

Unholy cow, girl, we can't thank you enough for this level of commitment! Here's hoping you can continue to provide us with these extremely informative deep dives.

@lauras2129 2 years ago

I know it’s not performing that well, but thank you for all the effort you put into it. These kinds of videos I come back to when I’m looking to purchase something in the same category. I hope the company you are going to work with will help you get the results you want as far as lighting goes. Thanks again!

Finally! A normal looking person doing a REAL beauty channel instead of the filler/filter diva scamming “brand influencer” we see now. I can’t relate to those influencers

@shelleyeatz 2 years ago

Adding another comment - totally agree with you on having mad respect for brands who don’t use influenster and equivalents! I’m soooooooo sick of incentivized reviews

@vikjack 2 years ago (edited)

Not only do you look absolutely stunning, but your dedication to explaining the shades and what tones may work with different skin tones is awesome! I’ve been wanting to wear more lip liners, but never know what works for me. 😍

@starlitmoon1212 2 years ago

Your deep dives are seriously incredible. Thank you so much for putting so much effort in and always giving us different lighting swatches AND application footage!!! Also, I think you have the prettiest lip shape!

@val_foche 2 years ago

I’ve never clicked on a video so fast! 😅 Found your channel recently and now I cannot stop watching it 💙

@LisaMR49 2 years ago

I'm obsessed with this type of format you do! I learn sooooo much and appreciate the efforts and work.

@ChristinePacinda 2 years ago

That Milani lipliner grows drier as the pencil ages and eventually sets down more. I had mine for about three months before the formula became exactly what I wanted it to be.

@symanthar.3314 2 years ago

Thanks for all the time you put into this!! Love the swatches on hand and lips. Really good to see them in different light.

@cora6937 3 months ago

this video is so detailed and helpful. it's so nice being able to actually trust a creator to give honest reviews. thank you!

@Maj-l9n 1 year ago

Dear Kait, Thank you so much for building such a solid honest and critical library of reviews. I return to them often and miss new reviews. I do understand and totally respect your new line for the channel, but I want you to know, that your reviews are one of the few places I can/could trust to get honesty ❤

This is dedication and commitment 💯

Thank you for including inexpensive lip liners as well as high-end lip liners. I'm going to try the ColourPop, Maybelline, Revlon, and Rimmel lip liners. I don't really like the LA Girl lip liner. Also, thank you for spending so much time on your videos. They're very informative.
