The more bare soil between plants, the more room for new weeds to grow. A denser, well-planned border, where selected plants gradually fill in the empty space, can be the solution.

In the video, I show seven plants that fill out borders well: lady's mantle, phlox aureum, geranium 'Rozanne', root geranium, epimedium, creeping bugle, and Faassen's catnip.

I offer suggestions for sun, partial shade, and under trees. I'll also show you where to be careful so that a plant filling the border doesn't become a problem.
