Spirit and Balto are certified must watch movies

This film was not only inspiring to never give up, but the soundtrack was great as well. Not just because Bryan Adams sang well, but each song has a theme for each experience Spirit goes through.

Spirit has a universal message, it's not just about masculinity it's about inner strength, standing your ground is an important message for anyone to learn

Man, I forgot what a masterpiece Spirit is. They don't make them like they used to. This generation of kiddos deserve and need more stories like this.

I live in Pakistan, and we lived in a small house...the walls had cracks in them, the floor was bare cement. But despite the poverty my parents gave their all in raising us. My dad bought the CDs for all the movies we watched growing up, and my mom would first watch those to make sure that the movies were worth watching, and i distinctly still remember the first time i watched this movie with my siblings and my mom, throughout the movie she sat with us, and answered all our questions "why is he going towards the smoke?" "who are those horses tied to the post?"
we have watched this movie countless times. I now have my own PC, and have downloaded this movie along with all the other movies i watched growing up but Spirit will always have a special place in my life.

i’m a woman, but this movie was my inspiration to get out of the cult i grew up in, and to go back for the other kids i grew up with

This OG underrated masterpiece is worthy of a flippin award. How do gems like these go unnoticed for over a decade or more. I loved watching this all the time on YouTube when I was a kid. I’m glad people started realizing its significance and heart.

You just can’t stay like that and let it all be for nothing.❤ My father told me when he was dying of cancer, “Don’t stay sad forever. But if you don’t cry, there’s something wrong with you.” Lol, even in the end he was the most honest person I’ve known.

Tbh, I never read this movie to be specifically about masculinity just because its about a stallion. In my opinion, it's a universal message of inner will, strength and resistance

I feel like this movie is more about the human spirit rather than masculinity but I do see where you're coming from.

I am recently married and I've never heard of this movie in my life, but my wife asked me to watch it because in her words, "You remind me of Spirit."
About 20 minutes into the movie I was like, "Wait, I remind you of a horse?" or something like that, but then we watched the whole movie and suddenly it clicked.
Spirit is a horse; a beautiful and prideful creature, which over time, the race of man has systematically forced to be obedient for their own interests ... yet Spirit is only obedient to friends, and gives no quarter to enemies or abusers. He treads his own path; makes his own way, and protects his kin.
She was basically saying I am a standard man. Modern media has no place or representation for this dying art of simply existing as a natural male. We might want to look into that.

No movie has impacted little me more deeply than the random DVD I picked up because it had horses on the cover, so this video was a beautiful surprise for me.

Spirit his fire is not just about boys becoming men. I think many women also identify in Spirit. In the message that you should not let go of who you are. No matter how mean people can get and no matter what obstacles life throws at you. I especially like that Spirit does have his harder moments. What I love is that he finds himself again, and again and again. If you ever faced depression. You will probably identify with Spirit. Endpoint being that you can and will find your way back to who you are at the centre. No one can take that away from you. No one.
