I had a friend replace my blades last time, since I have a spinal condition that limits what I can do. Was feeling good so I did it myself this time and replaced them, putting them on exactly how he did. It wasn't mowing great and still isn't, so I looked this video up. I put them on backwards lol. My man card is on probation for now lol.

End of the season, I take the deck off. A good cleaning with a pressure washing. Inspecting all. And replacing with new blades 😊

Pretty good video to the point without wasting a lot of time. One thing to watch out for, though, the washer is a Belleville washer. That means it’s cupped and must be put installed in the right direction. In the case of the mower blades, the outer rim of the cup is upwards. A Belleville washer is actually a spring type washer and it provides pressure on the nut that varies as needed as it bounces around keeping the nut from coming loose.
