He's likely now in a place with only perfect milkshakes.

I love how casually he says “I went into the dumpster one time”😂

His capacity for joy was a delight.

2:20 The creepy hobo in Mulholland Drive was a representation of the milkshake ingredients.

When this guy said he had the same milkshake everyday at 2:30 for seven years, it really made me realize he had his life in order.

Lynch was not only one of the best film makers in the history of cinema, he was one of the best storytellers too. This side of the cosmos will miss him.

A business desk …with treats. :)

I could listen to him for hours

A friend of mine met him. She said he offered her a cookie and they chatted for a bit. She got a picture together and David is holding a cookie. Sharing a cookie with David Lynch is over of the most glorious things one could hope for in life.

When I saw this interview the first time, it made me realize that the dumpster scene in Mulholland Drive is about this experience he had.

Of course he dove into a big dumpster for the truth

Aren't we all just looking for the perfect milkshake?

The clash between how weird and obscure and esoteric his works are and how his personality is essentially just an old soul who would talk to you at a bus stop about mundane things

If only he gave up smoking instead of milkshakes, RIP you beautiful and brilliant man

“Like a little business desk with treats.”

I love imagining Dave curiously rummaging through the trash behind Bob's Big Boy and stumbling upon a deep, dark secret about something he cherished so much. As others have pointed out, this must have inspired the diner scene in Mulholland Drive. The heart attack Patrick Fischler’s character experiences after seeing the figure behind the dumpster must mirror what Lynch felt after reading the ingredients on the milkshake cartons. RIP

RIP David ❤ went to Bob's today and had coffee and a chocolate milkshake in your honor xo

He's talking about the Taylor Freeze-King!
That's what our small town burger joint was called, they named the store after the machine, recently closed down after almost 40 years of service.

I actually kinda know what he's talking about here. I think I've had maybe 3-4 perfect shakes in my life. You know one when you have it.

> "The ingredients were unnatural, I figured I shouldn't eat it every day..."
> Chain smoked  chemical laced tobacco since he was 8
