I mean, each Final Fantasy game is totally separate from all the rest. That's the core concept, that any new player can learn rather quickly. Why would, upon learning that, would anyone feel compelled to have to learn about other entries, when each is meant to be playable on its own, and is self-contained?

I disagree with what you said about Deus Ex’s New York level. You do know Deus Ex came out in 2000 and it wasn’t feasible to have a sprawling metropolis or skyscrapers in a 3D engine without having to sacrifice most of the fun of the level. This was a technical limitation of the time which only got better with the release of the GeForce 3 and programmable shaders a year after Deus Ex came out.

I think you fundamentally don’t understand Deus Ex. You should play the OG Deus Ex again in a completely different way than you did before. Take your time. Consider a stealth character with training in pistols, low tech, computers, hacking, and lock picks. Try your best to pretend it’s 2000 and save your brother Paul this time on your second visit to New York.

great video but I do disagree with you on bosses. I think a stealth player SHOULD be punished when faced with a boss fight. it makes your augmentations matter more. you need to think what happens if i am cornered. I cannot always stealth away my problems or hack them. A figher build should have problem sneaking away and avoiding fights the same way in the open areas, there needs to be balance.
